Mystery Babylon Revealed

Foreword

In the pages that follow, we embark on a journey to uncover one of the most profound and veiled truths in prophetic Scripture; the identity of Mystery Babylon. This study does not begin with assumptions, nor does it rest solely on the visible. Instead, it approaches the harlot clothed in purple and scarlet from the lens through which the prophets and apostles saw her; through the Spirit.

There is no question that in the end, there is a literal, physical manifestation of Mystery Babylon. But without first grasping the spiritual nature of the great harlot—her seductions, her deceptions, and her long-standing war against the righteous; the true location and identity will remain hidden to the natural eye. She is not merely a city, a nation, or a system. She is a mystery, because she has always worn many masks.

This is not just a study of prophecy; it is a revealing. And as with all true revelations, it begins in the spirit before it is seen in the flesh.

Chapter 1: Covenant Broken The Scattering of Israel and the Rise of Babylon

The story of Israel is not simply a tale of ancient people wandering the desert or establishing kingdoms. It is the account of a chosen nation called into covenant with the Creator of heaven and earth, entrusted with His instructions and commissioned to reveal His nature to the nations. But this sacred relationship would be tested—and ultimately fractured—by compromise, assimilation, and idolatry.

Solomon: The Beginning of Division

After the exodus from Egypt and the conquest of Canaan, the united kingdom of Israel reached its zenith under King David and his son Solomon. Solomon was chosen to build the first Temple in Jerusalem, and for a time, he walked in the wisdom and blessing of YHVH. But his later years were marked by a tragic turn.

In his pursuit of political alliances and worldly power, Solomon took foreign wives who brought their own deities with them. Instead of remaining a nation set apart, Israel began to blend with the cultures around them. Shrines to pagan gods were built on the hills surrounding Jerusalem. The heart of the nation drifted, and with it, the spiritual foundation crumbled.

This compromise was not simply a political error—it was a breach of covenant. The Torah had warned that Israel must not intermarry with the nations, nor adopt their customs and worship. Yet Solomon, the king of Israel, led the people into exactly what the Most High had forbidden.

Following Solomon’s death, the kingdom split. Ten tribes broke away to form the northern kingdom of Israel under Jeroboam, who immediately instituted golden calf worship in Bethel and Dan to keep the people from returning to Jerusalem. The southern kingdom of Judah retained the Temple, but both kingdoms fell deeper into idolatry and injustice.

The Divided Kingdom and the Downward Spiral

Prophets rose up to call the people to repentance—Elijah, Hosea, Amos, Micah, and many others—but their words were mostly rejected. The northern kingdom was eventually conquered by Assyria and its people scattered throughout the empire, never to return as a unified nation. These ten tribes became what we now call the Lost Tribes of Israel.

Judah lasted longer but followed the same path. Corruption infiltrated the priesthood. Foreign alliances were made. Idols were set up even in the Temple courts. And the prophetic voice of warning grew louder—none more so than that of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah’s Plea: A Final Warning Before Exile

Jeremiah was raised up in the final days before Jerusalem’s fall to Babylon. He wept for his people, warned of judgment, and pleaded for them to return to the covenant. His voice was ignored, mocked, and even silenced by those who claimed to speak for YHVH.

Despite the resistance, Jeremiah faithfully delivered YHVH’s word. He warned that the people would be carried away to Babylon; not just as political prisoners, but as judgment for abandoning the covenant. In the Septuagint, we find a powerful letter written by Jeremiah to the exiles in Babylon. In it, he warns them not to be deceived by the idols or the rituals of the land into which they’ve been taken. This was more than physical captivity, it was spiritual seduction.

The Babylonian System and Its Enduring Influence

Babylon was not merely a city or an empire—it was the embodiment of everything contrary to the covenant. It represented human exaltation, religious mixture, and control. Even after the physical return of some Judeans under Zerubbabel, Ezra, and Nehemiah, the spirit of Babylon lingered in the teachings, customs, and power structures of the people.

Over time, a parallel system of thought and law began to form—one not rooted solely in the written Torah but in evolving interpretations, oral traditions, and increasingly complex rulings by the religious elite. This system would eventually be codified in what we know today as the Talmud, a massive body of rabbinic commentary developed in Babylon and carried forward through generations. While not all who contributed to it were corrupt, the seeds of mixture—truth mingled with man-made authority—were firmly planted.

Zechariah’s Prophetic Warning: The Woman and the Ephah

The prophet Zechariah, writing after the Babylonian exile, received a vision that revealed the ongoing spiritual danger. In Zechariah 5, he sees a woman, symbolizing wickedness, placed into a measuring basket (ephah) and sealed with a lead cover. Two winged women carry the basket to the land of Shinar—Babylon—to build a house for it.

This image is deeply symbolic. Though Israel had returned from exile, the core of the problem—false religion, greed, and corruption—was still being transported and established. The basket represents a system of control disguised as righteousness. It would grow over time, not in the open, but behind veils of tradition and power.

This leaven, once seeded in Babylon, would continue to influence the spiritual structures of Israel until the time of Yeshua, and far beyond.

Chapter 2: The Leaven of Power – Herod, Rome, and the Corruption of Israel’s Authority

By the time of Yeshua’s appearance in Judea, the covenant people had long since returned from physical exile—but the spiritual exile remained intact. The influence of Babylon had not been cast out. It had simply evolved—cloaked in religious garb, interwoven with politics, and embedded in the very institutions that claimed to represent the Most High. Zechariah’s vision of wickedness contained in a basket, carried back to Babylon to be given a home, was unfolding before the people’s eyes—though few had the vision to see it.

The Herodian Dynasty: Power Rooted in Foreign Soil

Herod the Great, though proclaimed “King of the Jews” by Rome, was not of Davidic descent. His lineage traced back to Edom—Esau’s descendants—and his throne was secured not by divine right, but by Roman favor. The Herodian dynasty was a political invention, designed to keep Israel under control while maintaining the illusion of national autonomy.

Herod’s reign was marked by grand architectural projects, including the expanded Second Temple, which stood as a marvel of the ancient world. But his motives were not born from piety. The Temple was a tool—a means to win over the religious elite and pacify the people, while his loyalty remained firmly with Caesar. Under Herod, the high priesthood became politicized, appointments were made for loyalty rather than lineage, and the purity of the Temple service was steadily corrupted.

This dynasty fostered a hybridized system—part religious, part imperial—which blurred the lines between worship of YHVH and subservience to Rome.

Pharisees and Sadducees: The Fractured Religious Order

The religious class had fractured into factions. The Pharisees, known for their commitment to oral traditions, had become entangled in legalism. Their rulings—often additions to the written Torah—became burdens too heavy to bear. While many among them were sincere, the institution itself had become a vessel for control rather than covenant restoration.

The Sadducees, the priestly aristocracy, were deeply entrenched with the Herodian regime. They oversaw the Temple rituals but denied essential tenets of the faith, including resurrection and divine judgment. Their cooperation with Roman authorities ensured their place in power, but at the cost of spiritual integrity.

Both groups, despite their differences benefited from the status quo and opposed any movement that threatened their influence.

Yeshua’s Disruption: Restoring What Was Lost

Yeshua of Nazareth appeared not to establish a new religion, but to reignite the original covenant. His teachings cut through centuries of man-made doctrines. He exposed the self-serving nature of the religious elites, healed without Temple sanction, and taught with authority that bypassed the official channels.

He directly challenged the “leaven” of the Pharisees and Herodians—the corrupt doctrines and political compromises that had overtaken Israel. His call to repentance, justice, and restoration stirred the hearts of the people but enraged those in power.

John, the prophet in the wilderness—a direct descendant from the priestly line of Aaron—had nothing to do with the corrupted temple priests which were comprised of Judaeans and Edomites from the Hasmonean and Herodian family dynasty. John as well as other true Levitical priests had much to say about this corrupt leadership—it has been speculated that John was among the Qumran community that resided near the Dead Sea, on the outskirts of Jerusalem awaiting for the promised messiah—Their calling was to warn the people of the fraudulent religious institution in place and call the people to repentance—just as Elijah did with the priests of Baal. They were preparing the way for the one the scriptures prophesied of.

In the Qumran scrolls they identify themselves as the lineage of the Levitical priestly line of Zadok. It is believed these were the priests that came to search out the coming Messiah at Yeshuas birth. The scripture records there were “wise men” that came from the east. The Dead Sea was east of Jerusalem and they knew the prophecies in Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah… from you shall come forth for Me one who is to be ruler in Israel.” And also the prophecies found in Numbers 24:17 “I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near: A Star shall come out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel…” These were not pagan astrologers as has been assumed, but these were priests that knew how to look for the signs in the heavens concerning prophecies and appointed times. Genesis 1:14 tells us of the divine purpose for the sun, moon and stars that were placed in the heavens for (prophetic) signs and appointed times. The Qumran communities writings which were known as the Dead Sea scrolls have much to say of their awaiting that righteous one that would come and bring redemption. This is why John’s disciples came to inquire of Yeshua; if he was the one they were waiting for that the prophets spoke of.

John’s confrontation with these same corrupt religious leaders, when he called them out as a “Brood of vipers!” wasn’t aimed at common sinners, but at the religious elite who came to observe what he was preaching against their established control. Yeshua carried this same boldness, in his public discourse with them. He called them out on their religious pretense and their psychological control over the people in twisting the scriptures for profit in teachings such as Corbanthe practice of someone vowing their property or money to the Temple; Meaning it would fall under the control of the priestly class. This religious practice was stealing what should have been used to take care of the peoples aging parents. This was among the many abuses and psychological manipulation that were in play under the corrupt priesthood.

Yeshua confronted them openly in public gatherings for the sake of the deceived Judaeans—he revealed the truth of their practices by using the clear instructions and examples given in the law and the prophets. But it came at a price—ultimately they would have him crucified in an attempt to silence his teachings and influence. He showed the people the corruption and fraud—for profit—that lay beneath the religious veil.

The religious and political establishment—Pharisees and Sadducees which were comprised of Herodians—found common cause in silencing Him. Their deceptions were being exposed.

The Death and Resurrection: A Seed Planted in Conflict

Yeshua’s crucifixion, orchestrated by a conspiracy of religious and imperial forces, appeared to be the end. But His resurrection marked the beginning of a greater confrontation—the collision between the true Kingdom of Elohim and the rising counterfeit.

His disciples, rooted in the Torah and Prophets, saw Him as the fulfillment of Israel’s promises. They preached repentance, covenant renewal, and the authority of the risen Messiah. This message began in Jerusalem, spreading like wildfire among the lost sheep of Israel and those who sought the truth.

But even as this movement grew, the original battle for control had not ended—it had only shifted forms.

Saul of Tarsus: From Persecutor to Political Instrument

Enter Saul of Tarsus, later known as Paul. He was not a neutral figure. A Pharisee by training, a Roman citizen by birth, and connected by blood and loyalty to the Herodian dynasty, Saul initially made his mission the suppression of Yeshua’s followers.

He hunted down the early disciples with zeal, not out of mere religious conviction, but to protect the status quo of a system in which the Herodian elite, in cooperation with Roman powers, maintained dominance over the people through a hybrid religious structure.

But then, Saul’s story changed. He claimed a vision of the risen Messiah and repositioned himself as an apostle. However, the message he brought forth bore marks of revision. Though he used the name of Yeshua, Paul began introducing teachings that softened the Torah, blurred distinctions between Israel and the nations, and emphasized obedience to Roman authorities.

He taught submission to governing powers, encouraged a spiritualized interpretation of prophecy that replaced physical Israel with a metaphorical body, and reframed the commandments as burdens rather than blessings. By cunning strategy, Paul’s influence became a channel through which Herodian ideology could reassert control. This time, not through swords and taxes, but through doctrine and persuasion.

The result was the early mutation of the faith, where the Hebraic foundation laid by Yeshua and the prophets was slowly replaced by a more Roman-friendly, empire-compatible version of “Christianity.”

Chapter 3: From Persecution to Power – The Rise of a Roman Faith

In the aftermath of Yeshua’s resurrection, His disciples carried the message of repentance and covenant restoration throughout Judea and beyond. These early assemblies, known in Hebrew as kahal and later in Greek as ekklesia, were rooted in the Torah and the teachings of the prophets. They recognized Yeshua as the promised Messiah. Not one that came to abolish the covenant, but to fulfill and restore it in truth and power.

Their gatherings were grassroots and faithful to the ancient paths. They observed the appointed times of YHVH, upheld the commandments, and lived in unity, rejecting both the corruption of the Temple priesthood and the influence of Rome. But as this message began to spread into the broader Roman world, it faced not only persecution—but infiltration.

A Movement Under Siege

The early followers of Yeshua were persecuted by both the religious authorities in Jerusalem and the Roman empire. Their refusal to participate in the imperial cult, worship Caesar, or conform to Roman norms marked them as subversive and dangerous. Many were hunted, imprisoned, or executed.

Yet, under this pressure, the movement grew. It attracted the marginalized, the spiritually hungry, and those weary of Roman idolatry. But as Gentile converts began to outnumber Hebrew believers, cultural and doctrinal shifts emerged. The simplicity and power of the original message began to be diluted by philosophies foreign to the Scriptures.

One of the most pivotal shifts occurred through the influence of Paul of Tarsus, a man with Roman citizenship, Pharisaic training, and equally important, one with Herodian family ties. Once a fierce persecutor of the early believers, Paul claimed a dramatic conversion. But rather than fully aligning with the teachings of the original disciples, he introduced interpretations that subtly revised the role of the Torah, reinterpreted clear commands and scriptural examples and emphasized a faith apart from those clear instructions, and encouraged submission to Roman authority.

A Different Gospel Takes Root

Paul’s writings began to take on a life of their own. Among Gentile assemblies unfamiliar with the Torah, his teachings became the lens through which the entire faith was redefined. The consequences of this were profound:

  • The Torah was reframed as obsolete or burdensome.
  • The people of Israel were redefined into a “spiritual church.”
  • The biblical feasts were replaced with Roman festivals.
  • The Sabbath was substituted with the Roman day of the sun.
  • Roman political power was portrayed as divinely ordained.

These teachings helped lay the groundwork for a new religion that bore only the outward image of the faith of Yeshua. This Gentile version of the gospel began to align more closely with Roman interests than with the covenant of YHVH.

The Emergence of Imperial Religion

By the early 4th century CE, the Roman Empire shifted from persecuting followers of Yeshua to absorbing and co-opting their movement. Under Emperor Constantine, the faith was legalized, and shortly after, elevated as the official state religion.

Constantine claimed a vision of the cross as a divine symbol of victory. But this marked not a return to truth—but the formal marriage of empire and religion. What followed was the systematization of doctrine to match imperial goals, not spiritual purity.

At the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE, key decisions were made: the Sabbath was outlawed in favor of Sunday worship, Passover was replaced with the Romanized Easter, and any remaining traces of Hebraic identity were scrubbed from practice and memory. The name and image of the Messiah were reshaped—painted in the likeness of Greco-Roman gods and imperial figures.

This was not a restoration of Yeshua’s teachings but a calculated reinvention—a transformation of the original faith into an instrument of statecraft.

The Power of the Papacy — And the Hidden Hand

As the Roman Church solidified its structure, it created a hierarchical system that mirrored imperial governance. Bishops, archbishops, and ultimately the bishop of Rome—the pope—took on increasing authority. In time, the pope was regarded not only as a spiritual leader but as a monarch whose influence reached across kingdoms and nations.

It was during this consolidation that Herodian influence resurfaced. With their political power diminished in Judea after the Temple’s destruction, the Herodian elite did not disappear. They adapted. Just as they once intermarried with the Hasmoneans and aligned with Rome for political gain, they now found opportunity in the rising Roman Church.

By embedding themselves within the clerical and administrative structures of the empire’s religion, the Herodian lineage extended its control through religious disguise. The very tactics they had used in Jerusalem such as manipulating the priesthood, exploiting spiritual authority, and suppressing dissent, were now implemented on a global scale through the Roman Church.

This spiritual empire, born out of compromise, coercion, and counterfeit, became the final form of the “basket of wickedness” spoken of by Zechariah. Carried from Babylon, established in Jerusalem under Herod, and finally enthroned in Rome under the papacy, it represented the full leavening of false religion. One that enslaved not only bodies but also hearts and minds.

Chapter 4: Reformation and Residue – The Struggle for Truth Amid Religious Empire

The fusion of imperial power and religious authority, formalized through the Roman Church, cast a long shadow over the world. For centuries, it reigned as the spiritual and political center of Western civilization. Kings sought its blessing. Nations feared its decrees. And dissenters—those who dared to question its doctrines or power—were silenced through inquisitions, crusades, and execution.

This was not the continuation of the faith once delivered to the saints. It was a continuation of control—a corrupted system first seeded in Babylon, matured in Jerusalem under the Herodians, and enthroned in Rome. And yet, even within this darkness, sparks of truth refused to be extinguished.

The Age of Control: Papal Domination and Religious Tyranny

Throughout the so-called “Dark Ages,” the Roman Church amassed untold wealth and political might. Its rituals became increasingly detached from Scripture, its leaders more akin to royalty than servants, and its doctrines indistinguishable from the pagan traditions it once claimed to replace.

  • Images and relics were venerated.
  • Latin-only Scripture kept truth out of the hands of the people.
  • The sale of indulgences turned forgiveness into commerce.
  • The confessional system created total dependence on priestly mediation as well as a form of central intelligence for the papacy. A system where the people were deceived into revealing hidden thoughts or feelings that could possibly be against the Catholic Church.

This was not faith it was bondage. And behind the veil of holiness, the same corrupt motivations of power, prestige, and political control endured just as they had in the courts of Herod.

The Herodian legacy, though no longer visible in name, lived on in structure and purpose. Their blend of religious appearance and political strategy had now become the global model for the religious empire.

The Reformation: A Fracture, Not a Foundation

In the 16th century, the grip of Rome began to crack. Men like Martin Luther, John Calvin, and Ulrich Zwingli rose up, protesting the abuses of the papacy and calling for a return to Scriptural authority. Their courage gave rise to the Reformation—a movement that shattered the illusion of Rome’s invincibility and opened the floodgates for new interpretations of the faith.

Scriptures were translated into native languages. Debates on grace, works, and salvation erupted across Europe. Religious monopoly gave way to denominational diversity.

Yet for all its fervor, the Reformation did not fully restore the faith. It was a crack in the façade, not a return to the covenant.

  • The Sabbath remained replaced with Sunday worship.
  • The biblical feasts were ignored in favor of inherited Roman festivals.
  • The Torah was still dismissed, seen as a burden rather than a foundation.
  • And the Gentile identity of the Church remained unchallenged.

The same anti-Torah lens that had entered through Paul’s distorted influence remained firmly in place. Though the chains were loosened, the foundation of replacement theology, lawlessness, and institutional hierarchy endured.

What began as a rebellion became a reformation of Rome, not a restoration of Israel.

The Leaven That Remained

The leaven—once a small infiltration—had permeated the entire loaf. Even outside Rome’s authority, the teachings born from that system remained in Protestant theology. The lie that Israel had been cast off. The severing and elevating of the (New Testament) from the Hebrew Scriptures. The elevation of man-made creeds above the Word. The subtle embrace of political alliances over spiritual purity.

This was no longer just Rome’s doing. It was a systemic infection.

Yet in the midst of this, something remarkable began to stir.

Across scattered nations and hidden communities, descendants of the house of Israel—dispersed long ago through exile and captivity—began to awaken. Without knowing their heritage, they began to feel the pull toward the Torah, the appointed times, the true Messiah. They questioned the institutions around them. They heard the quiet call of the Shepherd.

The Spirit was moving, not within institutions, but among individuals. Not through seminaries, but in secret places. The remnant was being stirred.

Chapter 5: The Final Struggle – Truth vs. Deception in the Last Days

The world stands at a unique crossroads, where the forces of deception, ancient and modern, continue to shape the destiny of humanity. From the days of Babylon to the rise of the Roman Empire, from the fall of the Temple in Jerusalem to the establishment of the papacy, the battle for control over the hearts and minds of people has always been intertwined with spiritual manipulation.

As time marches on, the leaven of error continues to permeate religious systems and powers that claim to represent the truth. These systems have always sought to replace the authentic covenant and the call to repentance and restoration. Yet, as history unfolds, the true path, the narrow way that leads to the eternal kingdom and the return of the true Shepherd—remains, calling out to the scattered remnants of Israel and to all those who have been deceived.

The Leavening of Power: The Continued Spread of False Religion

The process of corruption did not cease with the rise of the Roman Church, nor did it end with the Reformation. In fact, the seeds of spiritual decay planted over centuries have continued to influence modern institutions, both religious and secular. This continues today, with systems that still perpetuate false teachings, misguided worship, and the suppression of the original covenant.

The prophetic message of Zechariah 5 sheds light on this ongoing phenomenon. Zechariah describes a vision of a woman in a basket, representing a spirit of corruption and falsehood, being carried to Babylon, where she is established as the foundation for a corrupt system that will spread its influence across the world. This image provides a striking parallel to the way that idolatry and false doctrine have infiltrated religious systems throughout history.

For centuries, these influences have taken root and spread, affecting not only the Western world but even the lands and nations once considered distant from the original Hebrew faith. What began in Babylon, with the mingling of truth and falsehood, has blossomed into a world religion built upon a distorted version of the gospel.

The Rise of the “Red Dragon” – A Global Spiritual Struggle

In the book of Revelation, we are given a powerful image of the red dragon—a symbol of spiritual deception and opposition to the people of YHVH. This dragon is described as pursuing the true people of Israel and those who keep the commandments of YHVH and the testimony of Yeshua.

With what has been revealed the picture becomes clear. The red dragon is non other than Edom (meaning red), the descendants of Esau, historically seen as adversaries of Israel. The term “red” also connects to the biblical prophecy concerning Esau and his descendants. “Jacob have I loved but Esau have I hated”. Those who have historically sought to undermine the people of Israel and had the son of YHVH crucified. This connection is important, as the red dragon in Revelation is not only a symbol of demonic forces but also reflects an ongoing spiritual battle between those who seek to uphold the truth of YHVH and those who wish to replace it with their own systems of control.

Esau the twin brother of Jacob. The one at war in the womb. The rebellious offspring that mixed with the nations by taking Canaanite wives—vowing to destroy Jacob, warred with Israel in the wilderness after they journeyed from Egypt, because of which YHVH vowed that he would have war with Amelek (son of Esau) from generation to generation. Doeg the Edomite killed 305 priests of YHVH mercilessly because they helped David when he was on the run from Saul.

We were shown this prophetic picture with Cain and Abel of the one born out rebellion and false worship and the other offspring righteous and good. But like Seth that was raised up after Abel was killed. So Israel, though spiritually dead are being restored by that righteous heir that was prophesied would crush the head of the serpent.

It is not coincidence we are shown the imagery of a dragon in Revelation. The dragon is the picture of the serpent in the garden, the one that came to deceive, manipulate, and ultimately destroy the heirs of the covenant by twisting the word of YHVH. But the offspring of the serpent will be destroyed in the end just as was prophesied in Genesis 3:15.

The true people of Israel—the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, which have been scattered across the nations have not been lost—they’ve been hidden. In the last days, they are beginning to awaken and return to their covenantal roots, rejecting the false systems that have long oppressed them.

The Final Awakening and Regathering

The culmination of prophecy points toward the regathering of Israel—not by a corporate state that bears the name—such as exists today. But to the true people of the covenant as was revealed through the prophets. This final regathering will not happen through the force of an empire or a false religious structure. Instead, it will be through the work of the Holy Spirit, calling the elect out from the false systems of the world, just as YHVH has done throughout history.

The remnant of Israel, scattered among the nations, will begin to recognize the truth of the Torah and the need for repentance. They will return to their Messiah, Yeshua, and once again take hold of the promises made to their ancestors.

The final showdown is not only a political and military conflict. It is also a spiritual confrontation between the forces of truth and those who continue to promote falsehood and deception. At the heart of this battle is the call for obedience to YHVH’s commandments, and the ear to hear the true message of Yeshua, as was also revealed through the prophets.

Chapter 6: The Leavening of Nations – Hidden Forces and the Rise of Religious Control

In Yeshua’s parable recorded in Matthew 13:33, He describes a woman who hid leaven in three measures of meal until all of it was leavened. With the understanding of Zechariah we understand this is a prophetic picture of spiritual contamination—truth subtly infiltrated by falsehood until the entire system is corrupted. Just as Yeshua warned his disciples to be aware of the leavened teachings of the Pharisees and Herodians.

This chapter explores how three major religious institutions, Judaism, Catholicism, and Islam were each affected by spiritual syncretism, molded by political powers, and ultimately transformed into systems of control over the nations. Though each began with varying degrees of spiritual authenticity or aspiration, they were gradually leavened with foreign ideologies, giving rise to structures that served the agendas of earthly kingdoms rather than the Kingdom of Heaven. Let’s take a closer look at these religions individually.

Judaism – A Shift from Covenant to Command Structure

Israel’s story began with a divine covenant, an invitation to walk in holiness, justice, and obedience to YHVH alone. But through intermarriage and political alliance, starting most notably with King Solomon, the foreign nations with their idolatry entered the land. This spiritual compromise led to the division of the kingdom and eventually to the Assyrian and Babylonian exiles.

During the Babylonian exile, Israel’s faith began to morph under pressure. A new form of Judaism emerged, heavily influenced by Babylonian traditions and mysticism. While Torah observance remained a central theme, a parallel structure of oral law and rabbinic authority rose, eventually forming the Babylonian Talmud—a compilation that reinterpreted the Torah through man-made rulings. This system not only found legal means, or loopholes to break the Torah, but systemically elevated Babylonian practices. Among other Jewish writings are the Kabbala—a compilation of early texts—which is heavily steeped in Babylonian Magic and mysticism.

By the time of Yeshua, the Pharisees, which were aligned with political elites like the Herodians, wielded religious power to maintain order under Roman oversight. Yeshua Himself rebuked them for nullifying the commandments through tradition and for desiring status and public praise rather than truth and justice. The original covenant had been diluted, and a new class of religious gatekeepers had taken control.

Catholicism – The Sun-Wrapped Faith of the Roman Empire

Early followers of Yeshua sought to live out the truth of the renewed covenant through faith, repentance, and holiness. But as persecution gave way to state endorsement under Constantine, the faith became institutionalized. Pagan festivals, symbols, and priesthoods were gradually adopted and repurposed.

At the heart of this shift was a merger between Christian terminology and Roman sun worship. The day of worship shifted to Sunday, the sun disc appeared in religious art, and celebrations like Saturnalia evolved into “Christian holidays” such as Christmas and Easter. Saints replaced local deities, and Mary was elevated in a way eerily similar to ancient mother goddess worship. Such as the Babylonian “queen of heaven” as was rebuked by the prophet in Ezekiel 44.

Over time, Catholicism grew into a vast religious empire with political clout, amassing wealth, influencing kings, and waging wars in the name of God. The centralization of power in the papacy turned the faith into an imperial structure. Those who challenged its authority were branded heretics. While preserving fragments of truth, the Church had been thoroughly leavened with Roman paganism and imperial ambition.

Islam – The Crescent Moon and the Recycled Deity

Islam emerged in Arabia in the 7th century as a political strategy by the papacy to take possession of Jerusalem. The Christian’s in the east rejected papal authority and would not give her their allegiance. The people of Arabia; descendants of Ishmael, Ammon, Moab and various other tribes were a people long steeped in paganism and idolatry. One of the most prominent deities worshiped in pre-Islamic Arabia was the moon god, often referred to as Hubal or symbolized by a crescent moon. This deity was central to the Kaaba in Mecca, which housed hundreds of idols, including representations of celestial gods.

Muhammad—a product of Catholic infiltration—began preaching monotheism, structured worship and ritual, reverence of Mary, belief in an afterlife; and most importantly—a twisted version of belief in the Hebrew Scriptures that would place them as the chosen descendants. The Papal strategy was to have the Arabs fight and take Jerusalem from the power of the Eastern Orthodox Church. Then the papacy would launch a religious campaign to amass an army from loyal kings in the west promising them forgiveness of sin if they would aid in conquering Jerusalem for Christ in an all out “holy war” to save the promised land—establishing the Catholic Church in a prominent position as Savior of Christianity in the east and proprietor of Jerusalem. Although successful, less than a hundred years later Islam recaptured Jerusalem and it remained under Muslim control for nearly a thousand years until the early 20th century when it was captured by Britain in World War I and then handed over to the Rothschilds under a pretense for establishing a homeland for European Jews under the Balfour declaration. To prevent an all out massacre in the Middle East there were agreements made to allow the Muslim holy site known as the “dome of the rock” to remain for a prayer site for Muslims. Because of a very strong Muslim presence throughout the Middle East this site remains an area of great tension because this was also the place where Solomon’s temple once stood.

The religion of Islam developed into a syncretic practice as is common in Catholic converted lands; the Arabs still carried many elements of their old pagan religion that permanently remained embedded. The crescent moon became the lasting symbol of Islam. Though Islam emphasized strict monotheism, its form and ritual retained a distinctly Arab flavor—such as circumambulating the Kaaba, a practice rooted in pre-Islamic pagan rites.

Much like Judaism and Catholicism, Islam experienced early political consolidation, becoming a tool of empire. Military conquests quickly expanded Islamic influence, spreading its theology alongside Arab culture and law. Over time, Sufi mysticism, Persian philosophies, and tribal traditions were blended in, creating a diverse and often politically charged religion.

It’s also notable that Islam, while claiming independence from Judaism and Christianity, shares many altered narratives of their Scriptures—yet as they all do, positions itself as the final authority, superseding what came before.

Three Measures of Leaven – Star, Sun, and Moon

These three world religions—Judaism, Catholicism, and Islam—can be symbolically represented by the star, sun, and moon. These celestial images show up in ancient systems of astrological worship that were absorbed into spiritual practice, such as was in Babylon.

  • Judaism adopted the star of Remphan (the six-pointed star associated with modern Zionism).
  • Catholicism is saturated with sun imagery, from halos to solar monstrances used in Eucharistic adoration.
  • Islam bears the enduring image of the crescent moon, the same lunar symbol used in Arabian pagan worship before Muhammad.

Each of these religions, with their symbols and state alliances, reflects a spiritual system influenced by cosmic imagery, false worship, and political power. Together, they form a triad of religious authority that has infiltrated the nations, not to set people free, but to subtly control them—keeping the truth obscured and the covenantal path buried.

The Harlot and the Beast – Revelation’s Unveiling

The Book of Revelation describes a mysterious harlot riding a beast—a global religious and political system dressed in splendor, intoxicated with power, and guilty with the blood of the righteous. This woman is called Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots, and is said to rule over the kings of the earth. Notice this woman is not just referred to as the harlot, but the “mother of harlots”. These religions have produced offshoots of Babylonian worship and idolatry. These daughter branches continue to carry the torch of these practices; establishing—for profit—community centers to give their unknowing worship to these celestial deities through pagan customs. Yeshua’s words from Isaiah are once again echoed today; “in vain do they worship me…teaching for doctrine the commandments of men”.

The harlot—rightfully called—appears faithful from outward appearance. Dressed in long robes and making long prayers. Sound familiar? “All nations have drunk of the wine of her intoxication”—or, all nations have been deceived by the trickery of her carefully veiled identity, causing them to become partakers of Babylonian worship. Her identity can be discerned through the leavened religious systems that rose from Babylon, were concentrated in Rome, and later expanded through Mecca. Her wine—the doctrines of deception—has been drunk by all nations, leading them into spiritual fornication and confusion—the word Babel means confusion—all have been duped into believing they hold the truth; but all carry many varying doctrines of her carefully crafted web of deceit. Her alliances with kings and rulers have brought false unity, but not righteousness.

This system is not a single institution, but a network of religious influence, spiritual corruption, and imperial ambition that hides behind sacred language. It is no coincidence that the leaven spread through the three measures— the star, sun, and moon continue to deceive billions into harlotry and submission to these authorities.

Come Out of Her, My People

Revelation 18:4 contains a prophetic call: “Come out of her, My people, lest you partake of her sins, and receive of her judgments.” This is not merely a call to leave a church, a mosque, or a synagogue—it is a call to step out of these Babylonian systems shaped by empire and idolatry, and return to the original covenant between YHVH and His people.

The scattered remnant of Israel, long lost among the nations, is beginning to awaken. Not to religious institutions or modern movements, but to the voice of the true Shepherd, Yeshua, and the commandments given in love. The Holy Spirit is calling them to walk in truth, to remember the covenant, and to prepare for the regathering and restoration to come.

Chapter 7: The Counterfeit Kingdom – Rise of the Final Deception

As the spiritual leavening has spread through centuries and civilizations, history reveals a pattern: every empire cloaked its ambitions in religious language, using faith as a mask for control. Now, in the era of global communication, surveillance, and rapid ideological shifts, the pieces of the final deception are falling into place. The foundation laid by the corruption of truth through religious institutions—Judaism, Catholicism, and Islam—has prepared the world for the emergence of a unified counterfeit kingdom. One that imitates divine authority, but is built on deceit, coercion, and rebellion against the covenant of YHVH.

This final phase in the long war for the hearts and minds of mankind is not just political or religious—it is spiritual. It is the full maturity of the leavened system foretold by Yeshua. And it sets the stage for the rise of a false messianic authority, empowered by a spiritual entity long at war with the Creator and His people.

The Dragon Behind the Throne

The book of Revelation describes a great red dragon, a symbol that traces its roots back to Edom—a nation whose name literally means “red.” The descendants of Esau, Edom became associated with betrayal, violence, and opposition to the covenantal line of Jacob. Throughout Scripture, Edom is portrayed as an enduring adversary to Israel, both physically and spiritually.

In Revelation 12, this dragon wages war against the woman which is a symbol for the 12 tribes of Israel. And against her seed, which are those who keep the commandments of YHVH and hold the testimony of Yeshua. This dragon empowers the beast system, which rises from the nations with political, economic, and religious dominion.

It is within this system that we see the culmination of the Herodian, Roman, and Babylonian threads—a fusion of ideologies and powers working to establish a global order that mimics righteousness but persecutes truth.

The Woman in the Basket – Zechariah’s Prophetic Warning

In Zechariah 5, the prophet sees a woman hidden in an ephah (a measuring basket) being carried into the land of Shinar, (ancient Babylon). The woman is identified as Wickedness, and she is sealed inside the container and transported—hidden, but active. This is a prophetic image of a system of deception, developed in Babylon, later reemerging with religious authority in other empires.

She is known as “Mystery Babylon” because like the leavening hidden in the basket her Babylonian roots have been carefully concealed. She is not a nation or a single religion, but a global spiritual agenda disguised in layers of tradition, empire, and theology.

The religious systems we have traced—born in truth but altered by foreign ideologies—have become vessels for this hidden woman. She has ruled through proxy and religious confusion, blending the holy with the profane, and veiling truth behind the curtain of piety.

The Final Puppet – The Antichrist Deception

Out of the chaos and collapse of old systems, the world will look for order and peace. This yearning will be answered by a false savior, a leader who claims authority from God but whose true allegiance is to the dragon. Empowered by the religious infrastructure already established through centuries of leavening, this leader will unify the world’s religions into a universal faith system. One that celebrates tolerance, unity, and peace, but demands submission.

The deception will not be obvious to those shaped by tradition. It will appeal to moral instincts, spiritual hunger, and cultural weariness. But beneath its beauty lies lawlessness, idolatry, and a hatred for the true covenant.

This system will mirror aspects of biblical truth—but twisted. The commandments will be replaced by “higher reason.” Yeshua will be recast as a mere prophet or a political revolutionary. The Spirit of truth will be replaced by a global ethos. And those who resist will be labeled enemies of peace.

The True Remnant Awakens

While the world embraces the counterfeit, a scattered and hidden remnant will begin to hear the voice of the true Shepherd. These are the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—not those recognized by modern political labels, but those whom YHVH has preserved among every nation, tribe, and tongue. Many will have no knowledge of their heritage. Others will have felt the pull toward truth for years but could never find it in institutional religion.

Through the Spirit of YHVH, these individuals will begin to awaken. They will recognize the false system for what it is. They will leave the star, the sun, and the crescent. They will return to the commands of YHVH, the testimony of Yeshua, and the true identity of the people of the covenant.

This remnant will be persecuted—not by atheists, but by religious systems that claim to speak for God. They will be accused of heresy, extremism, and rebellion. Yet they will walk in love, humility, and obedience. They are the bride being prepared, the firstfruits of restoration, and the witnesses that will testify of the truth through the understanding of the law and the prophets, against the Babylonian counterfeit kingdom.

A Kingdom Not Made by Hands

In Daniel’s vision, a stone cut without human hands strikes the statue of empires and grinds it to dust. This stone represents the Kingdom of YHVH, the rule of the true Messiah, whose kingdom will never end. Yeshua will not return to reform the systems of man. He will return to dismantle them, judge them, and establish justice and righteousness.

The counterfeit kingdom will fall. Babylon will be burned with fire. The dragon will be cast down. And the true King will gather His people—not into a denomination or new religion, but into the renewed covenant, the Torah written on their hearts, and the full restoration of the House of Israel.

Chapter 8: The Awakening – A People Called by Name

As the systems of deception reach their zenith, something unexpected begins to stir. Quietly, across every nation and language, a voice begins to awaken hearts—a call that transcends culture, tradition, and religious affiliation. It is not the voice of a preacher, politician, or institution. It is the voice of the true Shepherd, calling His scattered sheep back to the ancient paths, back to the covenant, back to their identity.

This chapter marks the turning point. From deception to restoration, from exile to return, from confusion to clarity. It is the fulfillment of a promise long spoken by the prophets: that the scattered seed of Israel, lost among the nations, would one day remember who they are.

The Lost Tribes: Scattered, Not Forgotten

Centuries ago, the northern kingdom of Israel was exiled for its rebellion and idolatry. Taken by Assyria and absorbed into the nations, these tribes became indistinguishable from the Gentiles. Over time, their languages changed, their customs faded, and their genealogies were forgotten.

But YHVH made a covenant with their fathers—a promise that could not be broken. Through the prophets, He declared that though Israel was scattered like seed among the nations, He would one day call them back, not only to a land but to a way of life, to an identity rooted in covenant, obedience, and faithfulness.

This regathering would not be accomplished through genetics or politics. It would be a spiritual awakening—a supernatural restoration led by the Ruach ha’Kodesh (Set-Apart Spirit), revealing the truth of who they are and whose they are.

The Voice of the Shepherd

In John 10, Yeshua declares, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” This promise goes beyond the boundaries of organized religion. It is not about joining a movement or adopting Hebrew customs. It is about recognition—the deep, unmistakable realization that you are part of something ancient, something sacred, and that you have been called out for a purpose.

This awakening often begins with discomfort. A restlessness with the world’s systems. A hunger for truth. A disillusionment with churches, synagogues, or mosques that claim to represent God but fall short of His righteousness.

Then comes the moment of clarity: the realization that the Torah—the instructions of YHVH—were never abolished, and that the covenant is still alive. That Yeshua did not come to start a new religion, but to restore what was lost. That the scattered people of Israel are not defined by race or appearance, but by faithfulness to the covenant and the indwelling of His Spirit.

Leaving Babylon

To be awakened and to walk in obedience is to be called out. Out of false systems. Out of compromised doctrines. Out of spiritual confusion. This is the essence of the call in Revelation 18:4: “Come out of her, My people, lest you partake in her sins.”

Babylon is more than a city or ancient empire. It is the spirit of confusion, of spiritual compromise, of control disguised as faith. It exists in religious institutions that rewrite truth for convenience. It lives in the mixture of pagan practices with the worship of the Holy One. It is the foundation of every empire that claims to speak for God while silencing His Word.

The awakening remnant will leave Babylon behind—not just physically, but mentally and spiritually. They will reject the traditions of men in favor of the commandments of YHVH. They will turn from inherited religion to revealed truth. And they will walk in the footsteps of the Messiah, not the councils and doctrines that twisted His message.

The Return to Covenant

Restoration begins with repentance. Not just for personal sins, but for generations of disobedience, for turning away from the covenant. As hearts are awakened, they begin to desire righteousness, obedience, and holiness—not as legalism, but as love. As the prophet Jeremiah foresaw, “I will write My law on their hearts… and they shall be My people, and I will be their Elohim.” (Jeremiah 31:33)

This return is not about ritual or heritage. It is about a renewed relationship with the Most High. The remnant will begin to keep His appointed times, honor His commands, and embrace His Son not only as Savior, but as King and Torah-teacher.

This remnant will live as foreigners in the world—misunderstood, mocked, even hated. But they will be filled with peace, clarity, and purpose. They will be a light in the growing darkness. And they will stand as living testimony that YHVH keeps His promises.

Preparation for the Regathering

As the deception of the beast system intensifies, the remnant is being prepared—not only spiritually, but prophetically. They are being gathered in heart and in truth before they are gathered in body.

Ezekiel 37 describes a valley of dry bones that come to life, symbolizing the whole house of Israel—Judah and Ephraim, both reunited under one Shepherd. The awakening we are witnessing is the beginning of this resurrection. First the bones come together, then the breath enters. The remnant is forming, even now.

When the appointed time arrives, the physical regathering will follow. Not under man-made banners, but under the authority of Yeshua, the true Son of David, who will gather His sheep from the four corners of the earth.

The Harlot’s Hidden Name: Babylon Reborn

Revelation 17 describes the great harlot with a name written on her forehead: “Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth.” This name isn’t merely symbolic, it is a prophetic revelation. It connects the end-time religious system directly back to ancient Babylon, the origin point of counterfeit worship, empire, and rebellion against YHVH.

What makes her a “mystery” is that her identity is disguised. She presents herself as holy, righteous, and enlightened. She cloaks herself in scripture, invokes divine language, and speaks of peace. But her foundation is built on the same Babylonian structure that exalted man over the Most High and sought to control the masses through religion and statecraft.

The sun, moon, and stars, worshiped in ancient Babylon, remain central symbols in the three religious institutions that rose from its shadow:

  • Judaism took on the six-pointed star; an image not found in the Torah, but associated with Babylonian magic and adopted much later in history.
  • Catholicism absorbed sun worship, blending Roman solar feasts into its religious calendar and architecture.
  • Islam, born out of a syncretized Arabian context, reveres the crescent moon, rooted in pre-Islamic lunar worship tied to the deity Hubal and others worshiped in Mecca.

These three systems represent the three measures of leaven that Yeshua warned about in His parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened.” (Matthew 13:33)

This was not a positive parable. It was a warning: that truth would be infiltrated, mixed, and corrupted until the whole system was changed.

The System That Enslaved Israel

YHVH warned His people from the beginning: “Do not worship the sun, the moon, or the stars… do not learn the ways of the nations… do not mix the holy with the profane.”(Deuteronomy 4:19; Jeremiah 10:2; Ezekiel 22:26)

But Israel compromised. The mingling began in the days of Solomon, continued through alliances with foreign powers, and culminated in their exile to Babylon. Even after returning, the religious leadership of Judea continued to incorporate foreign philosophies—Greek, Roman, and Babylonian thought—until the pure covenant was buried under tradition and hierarchy.

By the time of Yeshua, this religious system was fully corrupt. The Herodian dynasty had formed an alliance with Rome. The temple priesthood was politically appointed. And the ruling class—the Pharisees and Sadducees—had created a religious order that elevated human interpretation over divine command.

Yeshua came not to start a new religion, but to expose the corruption, call the lost sheep of Israel back to the covenant, and declare the coming of the Kingdom of YHVH. That message threatened the religious elite, and for that, He was crucified.

But the system did not stop with His death.

From Rome to the World

After the resurrection and the scattering of the disciples, the Herodian elite and Roman authorities worked to subvert the message of the Kingdom. Through infiltration and revision—especially through figures like Paul, who brought a gentile-compatible version of the faith—a new system was born. This version allowed for submission to empire, diluted the commandments, and prepared the ground for the rise of Roman Christianity.

From there, the leaven spread. The papacy became the new priesthood. The church absorbed pagan rituals, renamed gods, and continued Babylon’s legacy under a different banner.

Centuries later, through crusades, trade, and political alliances, the same religious force influenced the development of Islam, establishing a third branch of monotheism that kept millions under religious authority while vying for control over Jerusalem.

These three systems—each cloaked in sacred language—have acted as gatekeepers, filtering access to the truth, persecuting the righteous, and preserving the authority of empire through religion.

This is the woman riding the beast. She is adorned with religious titles, but she is drunk on the blood of the prophets and saints.

The Call to Come Out

Revelation 18:4 issues the final warning: “Come out of her, My people, so that you do not partake in her sins or receive of her judgements.”

This call is for the true remnant—the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, scattered across the nations. Many have no knowledge of their heritage. But by the Spirit of YHVH, they are awakening. They are hearing the call, not to join another denomination, but to return to the covenant, to keep His commands, and to follow Yeshua in Spirit and in truth.

The systems of men are collapsing. The deception is being exposed. The remnant is rising.

The True King Returns

When the final deception reaches its peak, and the kingdoms of this world unite under one false authority, the heavens will open. Yeshua will return—not as a suffering servant, but as the conquering King, to destroy the beast, gather His elect, and establish the Kingdom that will never pass away.

The red dragon will fall. Babylon will burn. And the woman—Israel restored—will no longer be pursued, but protected.

Epilogue: The Restoration of All Things

The story of Israel has always been a story of covenant and restoration—of a people chosen, scattered, refined, and finally regathered. Through exile and deception, oppression and awakening, the thread of truth has remained unbroken. Though the systems of this world sought to erase it—through religion, empire, and counterfeit worship—YHVH’s word and promise has endured. And in the end, He will bring it all to completion.

This is not the story of a new religion. It is the restoration of an ancient covenant; one given to Abraham, reaffirmed through Isaac and Jacob, written into stone by the hand of YHVH, proclaimed by the prophets, lived by Yeshua, and now rising again in the hearts of the remnant.

The True Identity of the Remnant

The descendants of Jacob, though scattered into every nation, have not been lost. They have been hidden—hidden in plain sight, often unaware of their own lineage, their connection to the promise. But the Spirit of the Most High is moving. It is awakening those who have ears to hear and hearts to obey—not by the traditions of men or genealogies of flesh, but by the call to walk in covenant and believe in the testimony of Yeshua.

This awakening is happening now. All over the earth, people are leaving behind the systems that once defined them—religions that offered truth but gave confusion, institutions that claimed authority but denied the commandments. These are the ones spoken of in Revelation: “those who keep the commandments of YHVH and the faith of Yeshua.” (Revelation 14:12)

They are the called-out ones—not to build new empires or denominations, but to prepare the way of the King.

The Kingdom to Come

Yeshua will return, not to start over, but to restore what was lost. The Torah will go forth from Zion. The land will be divided among the tribes. The covenant will be written on hearts, and all nations will come to learn the ways of YHVH. Justice will no longer be twisted by corruption, and truth will no longer be buried under tradition.

This is the age to come—a time of peace, healing, and righteousness, where the knowledge of YHVH will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:9). There will be no more religious systems enforcing control, no more counterfeit authority masquerading as holy, and no more false prophets twisting the Word for gain.

The true Shepherd will gather His flock. The throne of David will be established. And the world will see the fulfillment of every promise ever spoken.

A Final Word to the Reader

If you’ve come this far, it may be because something inside you resonates with this call. Perhaps you’ve felt the tension between the systems of man and the truths of Scripture. Perhaps you’ve sensed that there’s more to faith than what has been handed down through creeds and councils.

This book was not written to stir controversy or division, but to point to truth long buried—truth that is now being uncovered by the Spirit for those willing to hear. It is a call to leave behind the confusion of Babylon and return to the simplicity of covenant, obedience, and faith.

You are not alone. Around the world, the remnant is awakening. Not to rebellion, but to restoration. Not to religion, but to relationship. Not to fear, but to the blessed hope of the coming Kingdom.

The deception is deep. The systems are strong. But the King is greater, and He is coming!

Blessed is He who comes in the authority of YHVH!

The Kingdom of YHVH, the Beast, and the Final Conflict

We are going to take a journey through history to uncover the deep connections between the biblical prophecy outlined in the Book of Revelation and the power structures that have shaped our world. From the time of Yeshua, or Jesus, to the unfolding drama in our modern era, we’ll see how ancient prophecies are coming to pass, showing how the powers that were, are, and will be continue to follow a destructive and oppressive course, with Rome’s influence present behind it all. We’ll explore the rise and fall of empires, the journey of Israel, and the role of modern-day powers in fulfilling the final prophecy in Revelation.

Let’s take a walk back in time.

In the days of Yeshua’s ministry when he walked this earth, the Roman Empire had taken control of Judea, the land of the children of Israel. Judea was now under imperial rule, but this didn’t just mean political control; it also affected the religious landscape. The Herodian dynasty—an appointed, puppet ruling family under Rome’s authority—governed over Judaea. This family had aligned themselves closely with the Roman Empire and was directly responsible for ensuring the Judaeans remained subservient to Roman law.

At the same time, the Sanhedrin, the Jewish council, was compromised. While the Sanhedrin had religious authority, it was heavily influenced and infiltrated by the Roman-backed Herodians. The tension between the religious teachings of Yeshua and the Roman-backed religious authorities were diametrically opposed. Yeshua’s message of a coming Kingdom—one that would be free from both Roman oppression and the corrupted leadership of the Sanhedrin—was a direct threat to the power structures in place.

Yeshua’s message of the coming kingdom, one that will be built on righteousness and justice, went against the Roman-controlled religious authorities, who feared losing their positions of power. The Herodian Sanhedrin saw Yeshua’s message of liberation as dangerous, and so, they orchestrated His death, fearing that a rebellion might break out among the people. They were afraid that Yeshua’s teachings would lead the people to rise up against Rome, which would bring about Roman military retaliation and likely destroy their privileged position.

After Yeshua’s crucifixion and resurrection, His disciples began spreading His teachings across the ancient world, to the lost tribes of Israel scattered in places like Asia Minor and beyond. We have reference of this dispersal through the letter of James to the twelve tribes. As well as in 1 Peter where the letter is addressed to the dispersed of Israel scattered through Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.

These tribes had been dispersed during the Assyrian invasion several hundred years before, but they were now being brought into the fold of Yeshua’s Kingdom.

However, as the good news of the Kingdom grew, so did persecution. Converts of the faith were being imprisoned and even stoned to death for their faith.

One of the dominant figures of the time was a man who had close ties to the Herodian family. His name was Saul of Tarsus, who emerged as a prominent figure in the time following the resurrection. Saul/Paul himself tells us in Romans 16:11 that Herodian, (in Greek meaning Herod) is his kinsman or (family member). We also read in Acts 13:1 about this group of apostles connections with Herod the Tetrarch. Saul was an overseer of many deaths and persecutions of believers that followed the teachings of Yeshua. Many miracles were being manifested by the power of the Holy Spirit as a witness of the Saviour of Israel.

Saul, an agent of the Herodian Sanhedrin claimed a secret conversion on the road to Damascus, one in which he was given a “new revelation” which was very different from the message of the prophets and even different from the message Yeshua gave to his disciples.

Saul, who also went by the name Paul, began to preach a message that aligned more closely with a strange culmination of pharisaical doctrine and an elusive kingdom that was visible in the hearts of believers. He peddled a faith of easy believism and an inclusion of all people. This began the seeds for what would later come to be known as the Catholic (universal) church.

His mission was clear, if he couldn’t destroy the peoples faith by persecution, he would subvert their faith by deception. Paul a prominent member of the Herodian Sanhedrin, feared that the people throughout Judaea and Asia would be empowered by the message of Yeshua’s disciples and would turn the fury of Rome against Jerusalem because people were leaving the pagan temples, becoming circumcised and obeying the Sabbaths and dietary laws. These practices were forbidden by Rome outside of Judaea.

Roman authorities were very wary of Judaea because of former revolts concerning the reclaiming of the temple and Jerusalem during the Maccabean wars a century earlier.

Rome also saw themselves as the enlightened people of the world and viewed all of these practices as barbaric and uneducated. Here are just a couple of quotes from many historical references about Romes aversion to what YHVH commanded Israel.

“Their peculiar distinctions of days, of meats, and a variety of trivial though burdensome observances, were so many objects of disgust and aversion for the other nations, to whose habits and prejudices they were diametrically opposite.”
“At this time also the Jews began a war, because they were forbidden to mutilate their genitals.”

The consul Titus Flavius Clemens was condemned to death by the Roman Senate in 95AD for circumcising himself and converting to the Hebrew faith.

  • Non-Judains who began keeping Hebraic customs (like Sabbath, circumcision, and dietary laws) were often viewed suspiciously.
  • Roman society saw such behavior as abandoning Roman identity as barbaric or subversive.
  • Pressure could come from local authorities, pagan neighbors, and sometimes even family.

To fully understand Paul’s mission, we need to know a little earlier history regarding the power that was given to the Herodian family. Also, see our teaching “Acts” Of Deception.

Herod the first ruled Judaea between 37–4 BC. He was installed as King of Judea by the Roman Senate with the backing of Mark Antony and Octavian (later Augustus Caesar).

Herod owed his position and power entirely to Rome. His kingship was not from the Davidic line but a political appointment, he was Edomite/Idumean by descent. The terms of the Arrangement were that Rome would give Herod power to rule Judea, Galilee, and the surrounding regions as a client king. In return, Herod was expected to:

• Keep the region politically stable

• Collect and deliver taxes to Rome

• Suppress uprisings and keep the people loyal to Caesar

• Promote Roman interests, including loyalty to the emperor

The Herodian dynasty’s survival depended on Roman favor. Any resistance to Rome endangered their rule. They acted as a buffer between Rome and the Judaeans, promoting political compliance while trying to preserve a semblance of local autonomy.

Paul’s teachings encouraged submission to Roman authority as their rulers sent by YHVH, something that completely clashed with Yeshua’s message and that of the law and the prophets, who only spoke of freedom under a separate and set apart Kingdom of YHVH that would crush all earthly power. Paul also emphasized gentile inclusion and an easier path that softened the call to separate from the world’s powers, while the disciples held to Yeshua’s more confrontational message that demanded separation from the oppressive systems of Rome and false religion.

For a fuller exegetical study on the contradictions of Paul’s message see our teaching “An Enemy Has Done This“

The dispersed of Israel scattered throughout Asia Minor did not receive Paul’s teachings, as one of Paul’s final letters; his letter to Timothy reveals:

"This you know, that all they which are in Asia have turned away from me..." 2 Timothy 1:15

In the second chapter of Revelation; this same dispersed of Israel in Asia Minor, that the prophecies of Revelation were written to, were commended with the rejection of the false message that Paul and his apostles were teaching and how they were persecuted. The “Great Bible” translation of 1539 which didn’t contain verses make this clear:

"… you have tested those which say they are apostles, and are not, and you have found them to be liars and have suffered."

This divide led many of the early Christians especially those among the scattered tribes of Israel in Asia Minor—to reject Paul’s teachings in favor of the teachings they had received from Yeshua’s disciples. These disciples had walked with Yeshua, receiving direct revelation from Him about the coming Kingdom of YHVH, and their message was at odds with the political compromises embedded in Paul’s letters.

In the years following Yeshua’s resurrection, many of the lost tribes of Israel that had received the disciples’ teachings fled Roman persecution. The Gauls, who were among the largest groups of the lost tribes, had faced relentless oppression for their faith under Rome. Not only were they persecuted by Rome, but also by the growing Roman Christian Church, which had begun to adopt policies that crushed the true faith of Yeshua. Among these were the enforced view of a pagan trinitarian religion that Rome imposed. In the letters from the Gauls we read how they were tortured and fed to wild beasts because of their faith.

To understand why this view of a triune God was so heavily opposed it is important to know the historical context of this religion.

Synopsis: The Mithraic Infiltration into Roman Christianity

As Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire in the first three centuries, it encountered and absorbed elements of the dominant pagan religious culture—particularly from Mithraism, a popular mystery religion among Roman soldiers and elites. The Church of Rome, seeking to unify the empire under a single religious authority, increasingly adopted familiar Mithraic customs, symbols, and rituals to make Christianity more palatable and acceptable to the Roman populace.

Mithraism, which venerated the sun god Mithras. In Mithraism the worship of the three supreme deities of Isis represented as the morning sun, the all seeing eye of Horus as the sun at high noon, and Set the god of the underworld or setting sun. A trinity of idolatry.

YHVH reiterated throughout the law and prophets that (HE IS) and there is none other beside Him. This does not delineate from the purpose and need for a Savior. The picture Revelation shows us of a lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world is written throughout His Word. But the idea of a “trinitarian godhead” was not only rejected by the Christian Hebrews it was foreign to them.

The religion of the sun in Mithraism led to many other practices such as Sunday worship. The Roman Church integrated these features as it rose in influence, especially after Constantine’s Edict of Milan (313 AD) and the Council of Nicaea (325 AD).

This synthesis of pagan tradition with Christian doctrine led to the creation of rituals, holy days, and theological concepts (such as December 25th as Christ’s birthdate, veneration of saints resembling household gods, and hierarchical priesthood structures) that bore little resemblance to the original Hebraic teachings of Yeshua and his apostles.

Through this strategic adaptation, the Roman Church effectively replaced the earlier, more Hebraic and decentralized Christian movement with an imperial religion built on pagan foundations, securing both spiritual control and political loyalty across the empire.

After heavy persecution, the Gauls, seeking refuge from the oppressive forces of Rome and the corrupted church, fled through the Caucasus Mountains and into Europe. They settled in the northern and western parts of the continent, where they would eventually establish kingdoms that were free from Roman domination. Yeshua’s message, passed down by His disciples, continued to guide them, as they held fast to the Kingdom of YHVH and righteousness.

But the Roman Empire was relentless, and by around 400 AD, Rome returned to Europe with its military forces. The Gauls once again faced a formidable threat. But this time, the Gauls fought back, and in an incredible turn of events, they defeated the Romans. They established new strongholds in what would later become the British Isles, Ireland, and Scotland—lands where they would live in freedom for centuries, continuing to resist the ever-growing power of Rome.

Following the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in 476 CE, the papacy found itself politically exposed and militarily weak, caught between the declining power of Byzantium and the rising threat of barbarian kingdoms, particularly the Lombards in Italy. In this power vacuum, the bishops of Rome gradually assumed not only spiritual but also civic responsibilities, evolving into temporal leaders of the city and surrounding regions.

In the 6th and 7th centuries, the Papacy faced a divided spiritual landscape in the former territories of the Western Roman Empire. Pope Gregory I (r. 590–604) inherited a Church whose influence was confined and contested—not only by non-Christian pagans, but also by powerful Christian kingdoms that did not submit to Roman authority. Among these were the Visigoths and Ostrogoths, who adhered to a non trinitarian Christianity and preserved an identity distinct from Roman orthodoxy. These Gothic peoples, descendants of the northern tribes of Israel, had migrated through Asia Minor and into Europe, maintaining a unique cultural and spiritual legacy apart from the Roman world.

Their monotheistic beliefs—rejecting the Nicene doctrine of the Trinity—reflected early theological Semitic doctrine of monotheism than to the evolving Greco-Roman theology of the institutional Church. The Papacy viewed this not just as heresy, but as a direct challenge to its spiritual authority. The existence of powerful Christian kingdoms operating outside of Rome’s doctrinal and political control was unacceptable to a Church seeking universal supremacy.

To counter this, Gregory implemented a two-pronged strategy: the suppression of monotheistic Christianity, and the Paganization of Catholic Christianity to expand its appeal and absorb the broader population of pagan Europeans.

Gregory issued clear instructions to his missionaries—most notably in his correspondence with Augustine of Canterbury—not to destroy pagan temples or outlaw their festivals, but to repurpose and baptize them. Pagan temples were to be converted into churches; traditional feasts were to be preserved but renamed in honor of Christian saints. This blending of beliefs made the transition to Roman Christianity smoother, ensuring less resistance and faster consolidation of papal influence. In effect, the Church adopted pagan structure and symbolism—saint veneration, holy days aligned with solstice festivals, relic worship, and hierarchical priesthood—as part of its institutional design.

At the same time, Gregory looked to the Franks as a military and religious ally. Having adopted Trinitarian Christianity under Clovis I, the Franks were not only doctrinally aligned with Rome but politically ambitious. Gregory cultivated this alliance, encouraging Frankish expansion and using their armies as a weapon to suppress the Celtic Christian kingdom. This alliance laid the groundwork for what would become the Holy Roman Empire under Charlemagne, whose imperial authority rested on papal coronation and doctrinal unity.

Together, these efforts—the co-opting of paganism, the targeting of non-Trinitarian Christians, and the empowerment of Frankish rulers—enabled the Papacy to reassert dominance over Western Europe. Yet beneath the theological language was a deeper objective: the elimination of competing spiritual lineages, especially those tied to the house of Israel through the Gothic tribes, and the establishment of a Roman-centered Christian empire with the Papacy at its head.

This alliance solidified in the 8th century when Pope Stephen II, facing renewed Lombard aggression and abandoned by the Byzantines, crossed the Alps to anoint Pepin the Short as king, receiving in return the donation of Pepin, which granted the Papal States to the Church. This marked a turning point: the Pope had now sanctioned a Frankish king’s legitimacy, while the Franks had assumed the role of defenders of Rome.

The culmination came in 800AD, when Pope Leo III crowned Charlemagne as Emperor of the Romans—a profound moment that symbolically transferred imperial authority from Constantinople to the West. This coronation was not merely ceremonial; it was a deliberate act of reconstituting Roman imperial identity through the Church, positioning the Papacy as the source of political legitimacy.

Thus, the Frankish–Papal alliance served dual goals: for the Papacy, it was a way to reclaim authority over the Christian West and escape Byzantine domination; for the Franks, it legitimized their expanding empire and sanctified their rule. Together, they laid the groundwork for the medieval synthesis of Church and State that would define Latin Christendom for centuries to come.

Although the papacy was successful in converting parts of Europe there was still a strong resistance to the doctrines and rule of Rome.

Around the 11th century, everything changed for the non Catholic Christian’s by the Frankish (Norman) Invasion of England which was lead by “William the Conqueror”. This event was a pivotal moment in the history of both the Gauls in England and their faith, as the Normans sought to bring England under the centralized control of the Roman Catholic Church.

After the Norman Conquest, William the Conqueror promised to reform the English Church and bring it into closer alignment with Roman practices, including the suppression of heretical movements like the Sabbatarians. By doing so, he would not only consolidate his own power but also help ensure that the English Church was loyal to the papacy, which had supported his claim to the throne.

The Normans imposed a system of feudalism in England, a hierarchical system that consolidated power and wealth in the hands of the monarchy and the Church. The Norman Invasion was not just a political conquest; it was a spiritual conquest that enforced the control of the Roman Catholic Church over the English people, just as Rome had sought to control Israel in the time of Yeshua.

This system of feudalism created a society where the common people were subjugated to the control of the elite, with the Catholic Church playing a central role in maintaining this order. The Church, through its alliance with the monarchs, continued to enforce Roman influence, and the people of YHVH—those who held to the teachings of Yeshua—were once again faced with oppression and persecution. The Roman Catholic Church would continue to be a driving force of political and religious control, much as it had been in Rome’s earlier imperial days.

Four hundred years later during the Protestant Reformation which was the beginning of casting off the shackles of Satan once again, began to take place. This movement was a direct challenge to the Catholic Church—a system that, over the centuries, had morphed into an imperial power, wielding authority over kings and nations. What began by protests by pointing out errors in Catholic doctrine led to a complete separation from the Catholic Church.  This began a very bloody era of history through many wars across Europe and eventually this led to what was known as the Catholic inquisitions, which had sought to root out any who dared to challenge the Papal authority, using violence and intimidation to suppress the Reformation. But the true message of Yeshua of the coming Kingdom, of freedom from tyranny and oppression—had already begun to spread beyond the grasp of Rome. The Gauls, now dispersed throughout Europe, found themselves in the middle of this seismic shift.

The Jesuit Order, known as the “Society of Jesus“ founded by Ignatius of Loyola a Catholic Jew in the 16th century, would play a key role in countering the Reformation. The Jesuits were sent on missions to infiltrate Protestant strongholds and suppress the spread of Reformation ideas. This dark period in history would see many burned at the stake, tortured, and driven from their homes in a desperate attempt to hold on to the ancient imperial power of Rome.

But despite the persecution, despite the rise of Rome’s modern-day empire, the spirit of hope and a renewed faith continued to grow.

But the journey didn’t end there. The Israelites, now living in the lands of Europe, continued to face persecution under King James and the Church of England—forces heavily influenced by Rome and its long-standing imperial rule. As we know, the Church of England was essentially born from the split with Rome but still carried many of the same doctrines and traditions that oppressed the people.

The Puritans, descendants of the lost tribes, were particularly persecuted because they were determined to live according to the commands of scripture—separate from the world, separate from the false religious systems that had plagued them for centuries. These people were not simply dissenters; they were devout followers of the commandments of YHVH and they also carried the testimony of regeneration through the sacrifice of Yeshua, in the way that the Scriptures outlined. Their journey was spiritual as much as it was physical.

Fleeing the Church of England’s oppressive rule, some of which required strict church attendance or indefinite imprisonment after the third offense. The righteous remnants of Israel took to the seas, journeying across the ocean in search of a land where they could worship freely. That land would come to be known as America.

For the Puritans, the New World held the promise of a fresh start, a place where they could be free from the heavy hand of Rome’s influence and the English monarchy. It was in this new land that they found renewed hope. Hope not only for freedom of worship but also for the opportunity to build a society that could be devoted to living out the Kingdom of YHVH in truth and peace—without the interference of the false religion of Rome.

Although the days of the inquisition were several hundred years ago, and for a time Rome lost its control over most of Europe. However, today we now see the rising head of this final beast we were warned of in Revelation.  As we look around the world, we see the ancient powers of Rome rising again.

We see the carefully crafted culmination of church and state. We see the Catholic Churches  religious formation in the—at one time, Protestant churches. We see the false teachings of antinomianism which is almost paramount no matter the Christian denomination (or non denominational) affiliation. We see many similar sacraments (religous practices) that mirror the Catholic Church. We see titles and doctorates that are esteemed as a mark of godliness. We see the celebrations and merriments of pagan festivals that point right back to the same evil institution that parades itself as holy.

The Roman symbolism is alive and well in many of today’s government buildings and institutions. Let’s take a closer look at the final head of the beast in Revelation and the harlot that is riding it. The Roman Empire is often remembered for its grand architecture, military conquests, and remarkable engineering feats. But it’s true legacy lies in the systems of governance it created, which continue to shape the world today. The very foundation of modern democracy, law, and civil society draws much from Rome’s ancient establishment. Take, for example, the idea of republicanism. The Roman Republic was one of the first political systems to implement a form of representative government, with the Senate serving as a model for legislative bodies worldwide. That’s right, even the U.S. Senate is after the design of the Roman system of representation of the people. Hence the old system of supposed elected officials who represent the people, checks and balances within the system. Even the concept of a written constitution, all trace their roots to ancient Rome.

Then there’s Roman law, which laid the groundwork for much of Western legal systems. Latin terms like habeas corpus, subpoena, and pro bono are used daily in courts across the United States, and these are direct legacies of Roman legal principles. The concept of civil law, particularly, was handed down through the centuries, shaping everything from property rights to criminal justice.

But what about symbols? Are we really so far removed from ancient Rome, or are we still wearing the emperor’s crown, so to speak?

Let’s talk about symbols. The Romans were masterful at using iconography to project power, unity, and control.

The fascia symbology in Washington, D.C., is tied to the use of ancient Roman imagery, specifically symbols related to power, authority, and governance. The “fasces” is an ancient Roman symbol of strength and unity, representing a bundle of rods tied together with an axe at the center. This symbol was used by Roman magistrates to signify their authority and their ability to enforce the law. The fasces were carried by attendants known as lictors who accompanied Roman officials, particularly consuls, as a display of their power to both punish and protect. Today, this same symbology of the fasces can be found in several locations throughout Washington, D.C., most notably in the architecture and iconography associated with the U.S. government. The symbolism is most evident in the design of public buildings, monuments, and some federal government emblems. Such as the Lincoln Memorial, the U.S. Senate, and the Great Seal of the United States. The fasces, along with other Roman symbols, are found throughout the design of Washington, D.C. Another iconic symbol of America is the eagle. The *Aquila*, the Roman military standard, was the eagle—an emblem of Roman might and dominance. Today, the eagle still dominates the seal of the United States, its wings spread wide as a symbol of power and strength. The U.S. Capitol itself, the seat of the federal government, mirrors the grandiosity of ancient Roman architecture. Its columns, domed roofs, and use of symmetry are directly influenced by Roman designs meant to invoke the perception of power and dominance.

Even the very design of Washington, D.C., with its grand avenues, monuments, and the all-seeing eye atop the Capitol Dome, is reminiscent of Roman imperial design. And let’s not forget the obelisk. The famous Washington Monument is an American obelisk, a direct nod to Rome’s use of the towering stone pillars, originally imported from Egypt, to symbolize enduring power.

Now let’s take a look at prophecies concerning the Whore of Babylon. The Bible, particularly the Book of Revelation, speaks of a final, apocalyptic world order that will rise from the ashes of past empires. This empire is often associated with the imagery of a beast with seven heads and ten horns on the final head. A creature that embodies ultimate power and evil. Revelation even mentions a “Whore of Babylon” who sits atop this beast and holds sway over the nations. America is the Whore of Babylon, which is a metaphorical reference to a nation that not only plays a pivotal, controlling role in world affairs, but also is a nation that was dedicated to the truth of scripture and dedication to their Elohim, but now has played the harlot with the surrounding nations and has worked to bring about this final empire in the last days.

The U.S. is a superpower that has influenced global politics, economics, and military actions for over a century. In the Bible the apocalyptic imagery in Revelation, shows Babylon, a city of wealth, excess, and spiritual decay, a perfect parallel to modern America’s consumer-driven society, with its global military presence and cultural exports.

Revelation 13 tells us the appearance of this final beast which points us back to Daniel chapter 7. It reveals the likeness of this beast is like a leopard with feet like a bear and the mouth of a lion. We see these represent the culmination of the great cities of the earth that have ruled over Israel until the final beast is destroyed. This final beast also that is spoken of in Daniel is an all-encompassing empire that unites the world under a singular rule, and that’s where the connection to the Roman Empire resurfaces. We are beginning to see a global empire that mirrors the Roman imperial order of the past.

Consider the current state of global politics and economics. Borders are being redefined, not just through war or conquest, but through international agreements, trade deals, and the push for a more connected world. Think about the ongoing efforts to create a global currency. The idea of a universal currency—something akin to the ancient Roman *denarius*—is not so far-fetched. We already see this movement in the form of digital currencies like the euro, and even proposals for a unified global financial system that could reduce the power of individual nations’ currencies.

The European Union, in many ways, acts as the first major step toward a reborn Roman Empire. It’s a union of nations, much like Rome’s conquered territories once were, seeking unity in the name of economic stability and security. And then, of course, there’s the UN, the IMF, and other international organizations that strive for global governance, where laws and economic systems are becoming less localized and more universal.

But where does America fit into this grand picture? America, as the world’s current superpower, has been guiding much of this change. The U.S. military presence around the world, the economic policies it enforces, and its cultural dominance make it the “guiding force” of the New World Order—a force that is steering the world toward a new imperial system. It’s no wonder that some view the U.S. as the modern incarnation of the Roman Empire, with Washington, D.C., as its imperial seat.

As the world moves toward greater economic and political integration, the dream of a one-world government, controlled by a few central powers, is becoming increasingly real. And who is leading this charge? America. The very nation that’s often symbolized by the eagle, the same eagle that once flew over the Roman legions.

We need to examine a very important aspect of the final beast in Daniel chapter 2 and 7 and Revelation 13. And that characteristic are the ten horns of the beast.

Daniel 7:7-8 In Daniel’s vision of the four beasts, the fourth beast has ten horns. These ten horns represent ten kingdoms or nations that will arise in the future for the final kingdom that humbles the nations under their authority.  The ten horns symbolize a coalition of nations that will align in the end times, led by a powerful ruler (the “little horn,” commonly associated with the Antichrist).

These ten horns will give their power to the Beast, forming a coalition in the last days. The ten horns in both Daniel and Revelation are symbolic of ten nations or regions that will form part of a revived empire in the last days, as more of the picture begins to take shape let’s take a look at the fall of the Ottoman Empire .

The Ottoman Empire (1299–1922) controlled vast territories in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeastern Europe.

With the fall of the Ottoman Empire following World War I and the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, the legacy of the Ottomans still influences modern geopolitics in the region.

Turkey is a potential leader of a revived Ottoman Caliphate or Islamic confederacy. Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey has sought to reassert its regional power and influence, particularly in the Middle East. Turkey’s increasing influence in the Middle East and its efforts to unite Muslim-majority countries, as well as its strategic positioning at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, makes it a potential leader of a ten-nation coalition in the prophecy.

There are calls within many parts of the Muslim world for the return of a Caliphate, which would be a unified political and religious system, replacing national boundaries.

Here are some quotes by Islamic leaders regarding this desire:

“The Islamic world has been waiting for the restoration of the caliphate for years. The Ottoman Empire was the last caliphate, and we must not forget that.” Erdoğan

“The Caliphate is a symbol of unity for the Muslim world, and its loss has fragmented the Ummah. We must reclaim it to restore strength and solidarity.” Abdulhamid II

“The restoration of the Caliphate is not merely a historical necessity but a divine imperative. Only through the Caliphate can we return to the true path of Islam.” Sayyid Qutb

“The Caliphate is the only legitimate system of governance for Muslims. The Ottoman Empire’s collapse is the root of our disunity and weakness.” Al-Qaeda

“The revival of the Caliphate is the key to solving the problems facing the Muslim Ummah today. We reject all Western-imposed borders and secular states.” Hizb-ut-Tahrir

“The Caliphate is the only system capable of uniting the Muslim world under one banner, as it was under the Ottomans. This unity is essential to facing the challenges imposed by the West.” Al-Maqdisi

There is a very real and strong desire to see this Unity take place especially as their lands are destroyed as the west takes more and more control. The borders of the west have been opened to allow for a strong Islamic presence in the west.

The ten-nation confederacy will be formed around a revived Islamic Caliphate.

In Daniel chapter 2 we are told that the toes of clay will not mix with the iron. In revelation 17:16 we are told that these same ten horns/toes will hate the whore and burn her with fire. This is because they are only given power as rulers for a time to destroy the remnants of Israel, as (the sword of the beast). In Islamic law the punishment for idolatry (the worship of Yeshua) is death by beheading which takes us to the fifth seal of Revelation 6.

America, the Whore of Babylon, stands poised to guide the world toward a new imperial order. Guiding the final Beast that will dominate the earth, bringing nations together under a single banner. The Roman Catholic Church still wields immense spiritual and political power. The United States, with its deep roots in Roman ideals, continues to exert global influence. It is no longer a question of if the final beast system, as prophesied in Daniel 7 and Revelation, is rising—it is here.

The prophecies of Revelation point to a final world system—a one-world government, a one-world religion, and a one-world currency.

There is a phrase which encapsulates what this beast agenda has been. This was painted on a canvas which portrayed two hands coming out of the clouds with an open scroll with these words written on the scroll in Latin:

“Damnant quod non intellegunt, divide et impera in dextra pro rege, lege et populo, novus ordo seclorum.”

Translation:

“They condemn what they do not understand, divide and rule on the right hand for the king, the law, and the people, a new order of the ages.”

Breakdown and Critical Analysis:

1. “Damnant quod non intellegunt” – “They condemn what they do not understand.”

– This part of the phrase perfectly encapsulates the Catholic Church’s reaction to the rising tide of Protestantism during the Reformation. When societies or governments, particularly Protestant ones, denounced the Church’s right to rule based on divine authority, the Catholic Church was forced to act.

The Church’s authority was built on the notion that it was the divinely appointed ruler of the people. Any challenge to this power was not just a religious disagreement, but a direct threat to the very structure of society itself.

The Protestants and other secular governments that rejected papal supremacy were condemned not for doctrinal differences, but because they denied the Catholic Church’s claim to divine rule over not just the church but the secular world.

– Historical Example: The Catholic response to the Protestant Reformation was to condemn not just the ideas of reformers like Martin Luther, but to condemn entire nations and rulers who followed these new ideas. The Pope’s excommunication of Protestant monarchs and the Jesuit influence in infiltrating Protestant governments are just two examples of the Church’s intense efforts to maintain its divine right to rule.

2. “Divide et impera” – “Divide and rule”

– The Catholic Church’s response to these threats was to divide and rule. This was not a new tactic; it was a time-honored strategy used to weaken and control societies. By exploiting political divisions within Protestant governments and sowing discord between rulers and subjects, the Church ensured that the populace could be manipulated into submission. This method created the perfect conditions for infiltration, where the Church could position itself as the ultimate authority that could mediate between warring factions and guarantee stability.

– Historical Source: The Jesuit order played a key role in the Church’s manipulative strategy, infiltrating Protestant governments and working within secret societies to influence political decisions. The Thirty Years’ War, which saw Catholics and Protestants fighting across Europe, was an opportunity for the Catholic Church to weaken Protestant nations and reassert its dominance. The Church navigated both sides, fostering division, while secretly working to ensure the eventual Catholic victory in these lands.

3. “In dextra pro rege, lege et populo” – “On the right hand for the king, the law, and the people”

– The phrase “on the right hand” speaks directly to the divine authority that the Church claimed over both secular and spiritual matters. The Church’s strategy was simple: align itself with the king and the law, ensuring that rulers would recognize the Church’s authority in exchange for political control. By positioning the Pope as the ultimate spiritual authority, the Church ensured that kings, bishops, and common people were all subordinated to its divine power. This created a hierarchical system where any secular power was always under the thumb of the Church—whether in direct governance or through puppet rulers installed by the Church.

– Historical Source: A glaring example of this is the relationship between the Pope and the monarchs of Catholic nations. King Philip II of Spain, for example, bowed to papal authority in order to strengthen his rule over his kingdom, as the Church presented itself as the guarantor of political stability. Likewise, Catholic kings in countries like France and Portugal were willing to fight against Protestant rulers and compromise the independence of their governments to maintain their relationship with the Papal authority. The Papal Bull and excommunication were regular tools used to ensure kings were never truly independent of Rome.

4. “Novus ordo seclorum” – “A new order of the ages”

– Here, we see the vision of the Catholic Church for the future—a new world order where the Church would rule supreme. This new order would ensure that all rulers, laws, and people were firmly in line with Catholicism. It is a world where the ends justify the means, and where moral or ethical considerations take a backseat to the Church’s goals of political and spiritual dominance. This idea would manifest in infiltrating governments, controlling laws, and manipulating the masses into obedience, ensuring the Church’s authority was never questioned.

– Historical Example: The Spanish Inquisition represents the embodiment of this new order, where the Church would use its spiritual authority to target anyone who stood in its way, including not only heretics but also entire nations that threatened its power. This new order was not one of tolerance or inclusivity, but of absolute control, where any challenge to the Church’s rule would be crushed through manipulation, coercion, and the destruction of political stability in Protestant or secular realms.

Conclusion:

The phrase “Damnant quod non intellegunt, divide et impera in dextra pro rege, lege et populo, novus ordo seclorum” is a striking description of how the Catholic Church, in its zeal for maintaining absolute power, used manipulative tactics to infiltrate and control both governments and societies. The Church’s actions were not driven by mere religious fervor but by an unwavering desire to maintain its divine authority over the secular world, even at the cost of human lives, societal division, and the subjugation of nations.

– “Damnant quod non intellegunt” refers to the Catholic Church condemning those who rejected its divine right to rule, whether it was Protestant nations or governments that no longer adhered to papal supremacy.

– “Divide et impera” highlights the Church’s use of division to weaken Protestant rulers and nations, creating opportunities for Catholic control to reassert itself.

– “In dextra pro rege, lege et populo” reveals the Church’s strategic positioning as the ultimate arbiter of power, ensuring kings and laws were always aligned with Papal authority.

– “Novus ordo seclorum” envisions the Catholic Church’s new world order, one where the ends justify the means, and the Church is the sole master over both the spiritual and secular realms.

This analysis, though blunt and uncompromising, demonstrates the Catholic Church’s historical reliance on manipulative strategies to secure its control over nations and people. The Church’s claims of divine authority were not simply spiritual beliefs but political tools, used to create a world order where it could wield ultimate power. The idea that “the ends justify the means”—whether through manipulation, coercion, or even warfare—was the guiding principle behind the Church’s relentless pursuit of dominion over the world.

The lost tribes of Israel, (the Gauls, the Protestant Reformers, and the Christians who endured the Inquisition) all point to one truth: Yeshua’s Kingdom is not of this world. His return will bring an end to this imperial system, and the Kingdom of YHVH will be established.

As we reflect on the rise and fall of the Beast—an empire of control and domination, rooted in both ancient Rome and the forces that shape the modern world—there is a deeper, more hopeful prophecy that beckons us toward a different future. The Book of Revelation paints a vivid picture not just of a world ruled by tyranny and the ambition of the Beast, but of the ultimate fulfillment of YHVH’s Kingdom on Earth, led by Yeshua (Jesus), the Messiah.

This future kingdom, foretold in Scripture, is not one of oppression and subjugation but of peace, justice, and divine authority. When the Beast—the symbol of earthly, corrupt power—is finally destroyed, it will pave the way for the establishment of Yeshua’s eternal reign. This Kingdom will not be built on the fleeting empires of mankind, but on the foundations of righteousness and truth.

In Revelation 19, we see Yeshua returning as a victorious King, riding on a white horse, his eyes blazing with justice. The Beast and its false prophet are cast into the lake of fire, symbolizing the end of human pride, greed, and corruption that have driven empires throughout history. This is the fulfillment of YHVH’s promise to establish His Kingdom on Earth. It is a Kingdom that transcends all earthly nations, breaking the borders and boundaries that have divided humanity for millennia.

The destruction of the Beast represents the fall of all systems of corruption, and idolatry, making way for a Coming Kingdom ruled by the Messiah. As Revelation 21:1-4 promises, there will be “a new heaven and a new earth,” where the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will dwell among His people, wiping away every tear, ending death, mourning, crying, and pain. It is a restoration of the world that was lost in the Garden of Eden, a return to harmony between YHVH, humanity, and creation.

This Kingdom will be a literal, physical reign on earth, not a metaphorical idea or distant hope, but a present reality where YHVH’s will is “done on earth as it is in heaven.” The promise of peace and justice will no longer be elusive. In this Kingdom, the righteous will be exalted, the poor will be comforted, and every injustice will be made right. Yeshua will reign with perfect wisdom, grace, and power, bringing fulfillment to the promises made to the patriarchs, prophets, and the saints.

As we see the world seemingly moving toward the rise of the Beast, this knowledge should remind us that we are not without hope. The Kingdom of YHVH on this earth is the final victory in HIS-story. It will transcend all empires, all political systems, and all forces of darkness. When the Beast is destroyed, Yeshua will set up His Kingdom, and this will mark the beginning of an era of peace and justice, where YHVH’s will is fully realized on earth.

This hope should not lead us to despair or fear, but to anticipation and perseverance. No matter how powerful the forces of evil may seem, they are ultimately doomed to fall. In the end, it is the kingdom of Yeshua—righteous, eternal, and just—that will stand forever, a beacon of light in a world that has long been shadowed by darkness.

So, as we navigate through these tumultuous times, let us remember that while the Beast may rise, it is the Kingdom of Yeshua that will reign supreme. And this is the fulfillment of YHVH’s promise: that His Kingdom will come, and His will shall be done, on earth as it is in heaven. We can trust in that ultimate victory and live with the assurance that YHVH’s plan is unfolding, even as we see the world shift in ways we may not fully understand.

Thank you for joining me on this journey today. As we’ve seen, history is not just a series of disconnected events. It is a testimony to the faithfulness of YHVH’s promises and the way His word shapes the world around us. The prophecies of the lost tribes of Israel, the Protestant Reformation, and the rise of Rome, they are all pieces of a much larger puzzle, one that points to the return of Yeshua and the ultimate victory of the Kingdom of YHVH.

Until next time, keep seeking the truth, and remember, the Kingdom of YHVH is nearer than you think.

Wars of revenge or mercy?

I have heard it disputed that the El of the Old Testament was vengeful without mercy. They believe this because at a glance it appeared as though he commanded genocide upon entire nations during Israel’s wars. Was this really a case of genocidal slaughter of mankind, or have these people making this claim missed something very important?

With a little perspective you will find there was a very good reason for the wars that took place. Let’s go back shortly after the beginning of creation:

Genesis 6

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of Elohim came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The scriptures refer to them as Sons of Elohim, which were holy ones appointed to watch over the affairs of men.

I have heard it argued that the Sons of Elohim were the descendants of Seth, but the Book of Job tells us who these “Sons of Elohim” are:

Job 1:6

Now there was a day when the sons of Elohim came to present themselves before the YHVH, and Satan came also among them.

These Sons of Elohim were the holy ones which were reporting to the most high the affairs of men and all that they were doing as this was their task, and the accuser satan was also among them to bring railing accusations against mankind so they would be judged without mercy.

Later in the book of Job YHVH asks Job a series of questions about where he was when He created the earth. He also makes mention again of the Sons of Elohim being present when He laid the foundations of the earth:

Job 38:4-7

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of Elohim shouted for joy?

These holy ones were also what the book of Daniel refers to as the watchers. Because this is what they did, watched over the affairs of mankind.

Dan 4:13

I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven; He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches: Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth: Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him. This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

The watchers were appointed, or guardian angels as some might call them. A portion of them rebelled and defiled their holy position. Because of this rebellion sorrow and suffering came upon mankind. The apostles Peter and Jude make reference to this story as an example that YHVH’s justice is sure.

2 Peter 2:4-5

For if YHVH spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Jude 1:6

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

The Bible records before the flood the whole earth had been defiled by the merciless acts of violence by this evil race.

Genesis 6:11-13

The earth also was corrupt before YHVH, and the earth was filled with violence. And YHVH looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And YHVH said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them (the watchers); and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

There are many other scriptures that speak of the evil offspring of giants which were created from the fallen Sons of Elohim, which Israel was battling and slaying without mercy because they were not made in the image of YHVH, but rather an unnatural evil race.

In the days of Abraham the surrounding kings had gathered together to kill these giants that were oppressing men.

Gen 14:5

And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the giants in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

Note: The Zuzims and Emims mentioned in Genesis 14:5 were different names for these same giants as it tells us in Deuteronomy

Deuteronomy 2:10-11

The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims.

You will notice in following verses this same seed of the fallen ones that had destroyed the earth before the flood were commanded to be destroyed so the earth wouldn’t become completely corrupted by them once again. Genesis 6 tells us that there were giants in the earth in those days and also AFTER that, meaning after the flood.

Moving forward, when the Israelites were in the wilderness and were told to go and take possession of the land that was promised to Abraham, something made them refuse to go. Scripture tells us that spies were sent out to check out the land they were about to enter. Instead they brought back an evil report of the land. They told the rest of the Israelites that these giants were men eaters!

Numbers 13:32-33

The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great height. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

They saw these tremendously tall and powerful giants that made their hearts tremble with fear.

Many years later after the Israelites settled in the land, they still had to contend with these mighty giants and defeat them.

2 Samuel 21:18

And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giants.

Notice also the strange characteristics of these giants because they were of foreign origin:

2 Samuel 21:20

And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he was born of the giants.

YHVH was using his army of Israel to cut down these evil invaders.

1 Chronicles 20:4

And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giants: and they were subdued.

Joshua 12:4

And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei, And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon. Them did Moses the servant of the YHVH and the children of Israel smite:

The kings Og and Sihon were of the giants and revered as gods among the Canaanite nations. These were some of the mighty men of renown as Genesis 6 speaks of. David recounts the fame of these kings in the Psalms when he was speaking of the might of YHVH:

Psalm 135:10-11

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings; Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

The Amorites were a people of a tremendous height, as we read in the book of Amos:

Amos 2:9

Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

In Deuteronomy we read of Og’s size after Israel wiped out the majority of them:

Deuteronomy 3:11

For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

A biblical cubit was 22 inches long. Og would have been around 16 and a half feet tall, almost three times the size of a man!

David had a very unique way of sifting out these unnatural creatures from among the Moabite men to be exterminated. Using an ancient form of measurement:

2 Samuel 8:2

He also defeated the Moabites, and after making them lie down on the ground, he measured them off with a cord. He measured every two cord lengths of those to be put to death and one length of those to be kept alive. So the Moabites became David’s subjects and brought tribute.

I find it somewhat strange that the only common retelling of a giant in the scriptures by most people is the story of David defeating Goliath as if he were some freak of nature and not a common enemy they had been battling in a long line of historical battles.

I thought it necessary to write this study, not because of any fascination with giants. But because there has been a very poorly understood reason for the great wars of the past that have been commanded by YHVH. These wars were not an act of vengeance, but mercy for mankind.

The great tribulation of the saints; thirteen hundred days or twenty three hundred days?

While comparing line upon line concerning prophecy. I found a place in the 8th chapter of Daniel that didn’t seem to align with other places in scripture referring to this one event. The specific event is concerning the three and a half year great tribulation time of the saints just after the abomination that makes desolate is set up in the temple.

We are told passages like “time, times and a half” and “forty two months” and “one thousand two hundred and ninety days” and the one who is blessed that waits and comes to the “one thousand three hundred thirty fifth day”.

Ok, we see a connection here. All of these passages are giving a time period of three and a half years surrounding this very important event just before our Messiah returns. However, there is one passage that speaks of this time that does not align with the other scriptures. Or does it?  Daniel 8:13-14

“Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”

Did you catch that? He just said (two thousand and three hundred days). Wait, that doesn’t fit any other place in scripture speaking of this event. Let’s take a look at the Hebrew in this verse.

IMG_8079

The Hebrew word that is used here for two thousand is Strongs number 505 ‘eleph

Let’s take a look at the definition of this word.

IMG_8080

One can clearly see the definition of ‘eleph is (a thousand) not two thousand. But, let’s be thorough. There are many places in the Hebrew Scriptures where we can find two thousand used. One such example would be Numbers 1:35

IMG_8077

Here we can clearly see that ‘eleph is properly being used as (thousand) and we also see the actual Hebrew word shenayim meaning (two), that precedes ‘eleph.

IMG_8078

It is very strange that every bible version concerning Daniel 8:14 has been deliberately mistranslated to read (two thousand three hundred days) which would no longer equal three and a half years. Instead, the length of time would be six years and three months.

Or maybe one could assume a day for a year. After all that is what the Millerite movement from which Seventh Day Adventism sprang from did. This twenty three hundred days was to be a big fulfillment of prophecy in 1844, when by somewhat careless means of interpretation actually caused some to depart from the faith after they gave away all of their possessions because they believed they were going to be raptured away at that time. When 1844 came and went it came to be known as (the big disappointment).

What does all of this mean for us? We must be very careful in making loose interpretations of the Word concerning prophecy. There are three important and proven points I have come to understand when studying Biblical prophecy that must be put to the test.

  1. Is there other scripture that will back up the giving of a prophecy? (Two or three witnesses)
  2. Are there similarities between scriptures in the context and details surrounding the event in question?
  3. If there appears to be a contradiction, either the events are not speaking of the same account. Or, there has been an error in the translation. Which, was either accidental or deliberate.

We must continue to test everything and to be faithful stewards of the word of YHVH. As Jeremiah the prophet said surely our fathers have inherited lies. The understanding of the prophetic timeline is very important for the days we are approaching. We must watch that we’re not deceived.

Religous idolatry in Ezekiel; Have things changed today?

In the book of Ezekiel chapter 8, Ezekiel saw a vision concerning Israel which I believe very closely parallels today’s Christian mindset. They came in the name of the Lord, but did not keep His commandments or walk in His truth. The result of doing this incurred the wrath of God. They were practicing a religion that resembled holiness, but was completely devoid of the truth!

In today’s churches there has been a departing from the meat of the scriptures and has been replaced with a watered down doctrine that is not producing the righteousness of the Christian life required by Scripture. Many pagan  practices Christians observe today, have been inherited from Catholicism. The result of not auditing what is being practiced and taught, opens the doors wide for an acceptance and toleration for sin of every kind.

Because there has not been a proper fear of the Lord, there is growing very little discretion for what is acceptable according to the Word of God. The Bible teaches, “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”. If sin is tolerated while God’s commandments are ignored, what do you suppose will be the result?

Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

When preachers choose messages to “tickle the ears” of their congregation by using carefully selected scripture verses, and incorporating entertaining stories to preach an entire sermon; not only is the message changed from the power of the pure Word of God, but it hardens the heart to repentance. The bible warns about doing this:

Jeremiah 5 “For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be on such a nation as this? A great and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so”

The question to ask is, do we care more about what God’s word says or what man’s traditions can teach us? Without true conformity to the Bible, we will stumble in darkness, blinded by the many deceptions of the enemy. People have been put to sleep thinking everything is done for them. Jesus died so we don’t have to do anything, has become the common mindset. Although, Jesus commands His followers to pick up their cross and follow after Him. That cross can be heavy depending on where ones heart rest against the influences of the world.

I would like to show some of these parallels in Ezekiel 8, all of the visions Ezekiel saw had to do with pagan worship in the temple of God. If we choose to believe those messages were only for and about another people in a time long past and are not applicable to us, we will miss a very important warning.

The reason the bible has been so carefully preserved in its entirety is because this is God’s rule book for our life, extending unto all people for all generations being forever valid. The holy scriptures now referred to as “the old testament” are the same scriptures that Jesus quoted from. It was the same words of biblical wisdom that Jesus used to rebuke satan in the wilderness.

When you read the vision in Ezekiel chapter 8, I would ask that you look at this temple in Jerusalem being spoken of, being in direct contrast to the body of the born again believer by which the Holy Spirit in dwells today. The secret places in the temple whereon Ezekiel was commanded to look; as the corners of our heart.

God searches us and proves us by our obedience to Him. As it is written “O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart… ” The law of God has not, nor will ever be made null. It is absolutely necessary that the diligent Christian that desires a personal relationship with Jesus (the Word) learn His laws and apply them to their life. As it states in Romans 2

” For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.”

Ezekiel chapter 8

“And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me. 2 Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber. 3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. 4 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain. 5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.”

Notice between verses 3 and 5 it is speaking of the Lord standing in the door way as he is being mocked in His temple of worship. Remember Jesus said, “Behold I stand at the door and knock”

6 “He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. 7 And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. 8 Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. 9 And he said unto me,Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. 10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about. 11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.”

Here we take note that in verses 7 and 8 that by the representation to the hole in the wall it is not very apparent by outward appearance what is really going on from within because from the surface it has the appearance of “godly”, but a closer look reveals the wicked abominations and idol worship that has been mingled in their practices. This same  imagery would also apply to the lies and traditions Christians cling to today and call righteous. The images and statues of Jesus on the cross or the virgin Mary as well as other religious relics that we look to in worship. Are these not graven images made by the hand of man set up in the holy places? Holidays, such as Christmas and Easter are all traditions of pagan worship. If we believe our bodies to be the temple of God, how much more careful should we be that we not mingle our worship with what was celebrated to pagan gods?

Moving forward with an in depth look at verse 11 in the book of Ezekiel, “Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan” – Shaphan was a scribe of the temple, in the days of Josiah; and Jaazaniah his son succeeded him in this office. He was at the head of this band of idolaters. The religious leaders of that day were responsible for the falling away of God’s people. The same applies today, the elders and leaders of church congregations and people in places of  influence and authority which are involved with any kind of idolatry or practices which were not commanded by God as a way to worship Him, will receive the greater condemnation for leading the people astray. Remember, the Bible tells us that God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

Ezekiel 12 “Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, the LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth. 13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. 14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’s house which was toward the north; and behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. 15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this O son of man? turn thee yet again and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.”

Verse 14 is in reference to Tammuz an idol of worship in cult practice, the dead Tammuz was widely mourned in the Ancient Near East. Locations associated in antiquity with the site of his death include both Harran and Byblos, among others. Beginning with the summer solstice came a time of mourning in the Ancient Near East, as in the Aegean: the Babylonians marked the decline in daylight hours and the onset of killing summer heat and drought with a six-day “funeral” for the god. He was the annual life-death-rebirth deity.

One can see how this closely parallels the religious practices of things that are not scripturally sound. Although, through traditional acceptance. These teachings have been brought into common practice. Christians celebrate Christmas as the birth of Christ when that is not scripturally sound and mix Santa Clause within the frame work, which “Saint Nick”, taken from the name “old Nick” which according to the English dictionary, was a name used for the devil, or satan.

Ezekiel 16 “And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’s house and behold at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshiped the sun toward the east.”

The worship of the sun is an ancient practice dating back to the time of Nimrod and continues on to this very day! I can see how verse 16 could closely parallel the rejection of the true Sabbath of the Lord, and replaced with a “chosen” day of worship, which ironically is called Sunday. Or the venerable day of the sun, as Constantine stated when he decreed that be the chosen day of worship for Chritians in his edict of Milan. During the time of the Roman Empire, in the year 46BC, as these sun worship practices had been learned from the Greeks; Julius Caesar decreed a new lunar calendar called the Julian calendar. This calendar had the worship of the Egyptian sun god on a Sunday. In the year 325AD during the reign of Constantine, the Roman empire made a law that commanded and forced the Christian movement to change their day of worship from the 7th day and move it to the first day of the week, or Sunday (the day dedicated to the sun god).

Ezekiel chapter 8 finishes out,

“Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and lo they put the branch to their nose. 18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.

When people come to the knowledge of the truth, they then have a responsibility to act upon that understanding. Let us not harden our hearts like the religious leaders of Israel, who led a whole nation into captivity because of their insistence on worshipping God their own way.

A study of the Sabbath in the New Testament

A study of the Sabbath and Appointed days of YHVH.

This exegetical study is for the purpose of bringing clarity to what has been concealed and corrupted through translation and church doctrine. And to show that the idea of a “Sunday Sabbath” was never conceived of in the time of these writings.

I would like to begin this study of the Sabbath in the sixth chapter of Luke to show a comparison of the Greek transcripts.

Luke 6:1

“And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.”

IMG_0999

We see here in the reading of Luke 6:1 (deuteroprotos sabbaton deuteroprotos) in the Greek is translated as the second Sabbath after the first. Why? Because from the Jewish perspective they were always in the habit of clocking all things around the “Appointed Times”. What the second Sabbath represents, is the count down of seven Sabbaths to the commanded feast of Pentecost.

As in the Strongs translation below you can see the literal meaning of (dueteroprotos) is the second of the first Sabbaths after the Passover.

IMG_1001

Many have made assumptions as to why the first day of the week should be kept holy giving examples such as what we read in the book of Acts 20:7:

“And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”

Here is the Greek translation to that verse.

IMG_1002

(Mia Sabbaton) is translated as “first day of the week”. If the author of Acts wanted to convey “first day of the week”, he would have used the Greek word (hemera) for the word “day”.

The New Testament was written in the Koine Greek. The words have not changed to this day. The Greek words that would have been used for “first day of the week” in the Koine Greek would have been,
(prote hemera tis hebdomadal)

The Greek word “hepta” means seven. Which is where the Greek word “hebdomadal” comes from which means “week”.
The word for seven and days is used in the verse just above in Acts 20:6

IMG_1003.JPG

The word (Mia) in the Greek means “One” as in a sequential order. And the word (Sabbaton) means “Sabbath” so the proper translation would be “On the first Sabbath” considering this was just after the days of unleavened bread this would have referred to the counting down of the Sabbaths until Pentecost. Looking again at Acts 20:6 it reads:

“And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.”

The days of unleavened bread are just after the Passover. To get a better understanding of the time of year and how it relates to the commanded feast days let’s take a look at Leviticus 23

“And YHVH spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of YHVH, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the YHVH in all your dwellings.
These are the feasts of YHVH, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. In the fourteenth day of the first month in the evening is YHVH’s passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the YHVH: seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YHVH seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
And the YHVH spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before the YHVH, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days”

So we see after the high Sabbath of the first day of unleavened bread there was to be a wave offering and then seven Sabbaths are to be counted, counting down to the day of Pentecost.

This pattern was a for shadowing of Christ as we will see from the gospel accounts.

Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith YHVH:”

We need to establish a few facts between what the scriptures actually say and what has been assumed by many that have lacked the understanding of what is written in the Torah.
As Solomon writes in Proverbs 6:23

“For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and correction in instruction are the way of life:”

If we do not understand and do His commandments how can we be a light (truth) to others? If we don’t have light, we walk in darkness (ignorance)
No where in the scriptures does it say Yeshua was crucified on a Friday. So what day did Yeshua resurrect? This answer hinges on the very reason that 95% of Christians the world over set aside a day of worship that was never commanded. Let the truth be known, scripture tells us that our Messiah was resurrected on the Sabbath.
Compare the following verses from the Concordant literal translation:

Matthew 28

“Now it is the evening of the sabbaths. At the lighting up into one of the sabbaths came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to behold the sepulcher.”

Mark 16

“And, for the passing of the sabbath, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, buy spices, that, coming, they should be rubbing Him.
2 And, very early in the morning on one of the sabbaths, they are coming to the tomb at the rising of the sun.”

Luke 24

“Now in the early depths of one of the sabbaths, they, and certain others together with them, came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they make ready. Now they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.”

John 20

“Now, on one of the sabbaths, Miriam Magdalene is coming to the tomb in the morning, there being still darkness, and is observing the stone taken away from the door of the tomb.”

The reason the literal translation translated all of these Gospel accounts as Sabbath is because that is what it reads in the Greek (mia ton Sabbaton) sound familiar? Let’s take a journey deeper into the Scriptures and see why the Greek would render it (Sabbath)

Remember the only sign Yeshua would give to that generation, was the sign of Jonah being in the whale’s belly and the period of time he was there.
Matthew 14:40

“For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the earth.”

Notice the time of year it was, in John 18:28 it records:

“Then they led Yeshua from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.”

Then again in John 19:14-15 it reads:

“And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him.”

We see that it was the preparation of the Passover, which takes place in the evening of the 14th day of the first month. The scripture do not leave us without witnesses of the truth. We see the pattern of the perfect story of redemption through the feasts of the YHVH.

Yeshua truly is our Passover lamb which was sacrificed for us on the day of the Passover.

The next day after the Passover meal is the first day of unleavened bread which is a high Sabbath as John also records in John 19:31

“The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,)”

They knew that the body could not remain up on the cross on the high Sabbath day of unleavened bread.
The shadow of this in prophecy was how the Passover lamb was to be eaten at Passover. It was to be roasted with fire and every bit of it consumed that night and none of it was to remain until the morning.

I will show you according to the Torah how the plain text in Greek makes perfect sense.

Mark 16:1 gives us another clue

“And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him”

The Sabbath that passed was the high Sabbath of unleavened bread. The next day, (which would be ‘Friday’ in today’s calendar) they went and bought the spices and prepared them. This was also known as the preparation day for the ‘weekly’ Sabbath. Then they would rest on the seventh day Sabbath according to the commandment.

Consider, Joseph of Arimathea placed Yeshua in the cave just before sundown, how much more time would the women have needed to go into town to buy spices, and prepare them?

The synoptic gospels show that when Joseph took Yeshua down from the stake, the women followed him to see where he would place the body. They then returned to their homes and observed the high holy day Sabbath, the Passover evening and first day of Unleavened Bread. The day following the Passover meal was the first day of unleavened bread, a holy day in which the shops in Jerusalem would have been closed. The scriptures record the women went and bought spices and oil, and prepared them for use on Yeshua’s body.

The chief priests’ and Pharisees’ own fears and determination to set a watch for three days over the tomb proves that Yeshua did NOT say He would be only two nights and one day in the tomb, but three days and three nights! When those who had Him put to death reminded the Roman authorities of this statement, His tomb was not only sealed, but several Roman soldiers were required to remain there!

Matthew 27:62-65

“Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can”.

What do we see from all of this? The scriptures clearly state that the day after Yeshua was crucified was the high Sabbath of unleavened bread. It also shows in Mark 16:1 that the women bought and prepared the spices which any market in Jerusalem would have been closed from the evening of the Passover as well as the following day of unleavened bread in which the Torah commands that no work is to be done.

Remember Yeshua said the ONLY sign that would be given to that generation was the sign of Jonah (three days and three nights) Scripture will not contradict itself on such an important point so let’s count and see how this works out in harmony with the text.

The evening of Passover
(the first night)
the day of unleavened bread
(the first day)
The night of the first day of unleavened bread
(the second night)
then was the preparation day for the weekly Sabbath which would have been ‘Friday’
(the second day)
then ‘Friday’ night
(the third night)
then Sabbath morning
(the third day)

Conclusion: The only day we are commanded to remember is the one that has been forgotten. The day that was called the sign of the covenant has been despised. The seventh day was sanctified and made Holy in the beginning. Was reiterated to Israel for forty years in the wilderness when they received a double portion of the manna on the sixth day and upon every seventh day the manna did not fall. YHVH told Moses that it was to be a sign and an everlasting covenant forever, throughout all generations.

Yeshua tells us in Matthew 5 that until heaven and earth pass away, nothing shall be altered in the Torah. Let no one deceive you. The holy One of Israel is the same yesterday today and forever.
